Hey I?m trying to read an 08 ram 6.7l it has a tune on it already tuned by someone els. When I click read vehicle it says ?Read is disabled in the tune. Cant read ecm?just wondering if there is a way around this or am I gonna need to track down the original tuner to remove his tune files. Truck is for a costumer
Anti tune theft. Highly unlikely of you did track down the original tuner of what is in the ecm will they just give it away unlocked. Businesses bread and butter we are talking there. If wanting to tune the truck yourself best option is flashing it back to stock with EFILive or similar and then reading it again with HP Tuners.
