yeah chilly in florida again and it runs like doo doo and starts hard. im done with this hp tuner without help because it is sold under false advertising that doesn't ensure the consumer knows all that stuff it says it does doesn't work unless you've already spent years in auto tech pcm language or spent tons of money on special courses and or at least advertised it has these features in qualified technicians hands or something. any ways. im going share the file and last log and as always wait for the internet hate sharks to appear. hope i actually get some help or im try to lobby to have these functions of use decreased just like they already are. thanks

Boo Hoo...go pay a tuner to tune your stuff as that is what HP tuners is...Software for TUNERS.
If it was easy EVERYONE would be a tuning guru.
Or maybe look, learn, try things and then work it out like we all have to do.

i dont have that kind of money and bought this because it didnt say anything about spending more money for a professional tuner. two years of reading watching and doing even more research with zero results. this device should only be sold to licensed techs. further more who has the license and credentials for this type of device doesnt exist so the consumer is faced with others now capitalizing on the unknowing consumer like me and just scams money from people and potentially left with an non functioning vehicle. very dark and slippery slope for the consumer and the environment.

furthermore in general most everyone i talk to in person about hp tuner devices say that its a non functioning device and a scam unless you are a dyno tune shop. so now you see how easy it is to scam consumers for money because now you need a dyno to fully use the device. thats not anywhere in the marketing. multiple people have told me that just buying the device i got scammed out of my money.

To elaborate on what a scam it is even more i could get on this forum and take a post and make money from others while not actually doing any tuning just because i can put that post up and pose as a tuner. so i should just pose as a tuner to make the money, dont really need any insurance, certs, no license, no tax id or business affiliation. good luck trying to sue a email acct for a refund or collateral damages.

HPtuners is a tool. Like Snap On sells wrenches and sockets. Snap On sells me my tools. They don't tell me how to use them.

No you can't. You start posting like you're a tuner and a real tuner will call you out in a heartbeat. I'll be the first most likely.

start a new acct and no one would be the wiser, and by the time someone figures it out they arent real money transactions have already occurred. every post just hate and people love to point out whats wrong with something. i got this and when i learned it needed all this extra dyno stuff i pretty much made my mind up im not paying for all that so whoever that was would never have a customer like me anyways. just aint handing out money like that unles its part of real race build at a real race shop which they have and at that juncture the consumer wouldnt know or care about tuning. you people are so closed minded. and actually just as broke or poorer and or trying to make money with this with your regular job. just saying it all sounds fishy.

runs regular 87 and that was at what volt reading? nothing out of the ordinary other than i see your name pop up like the scammers on the forum looking for money and quite a few posts you couldnt adress the issue so u odviouslly wouldnt be a professional tuner either just poseing as one also.

snap on i know first hand offers a 800 number you can call in and they will help walk you threw everything you could possibly need and at a added cost monthly have programs that do amazing services virtually threw the tablet. i sell autels, bosch and the like devices, why do you think i have such a strong opinion of this hp tuners device! now go call your snap on 800 number next time it doesnt function as its advertised to do and they will help, it sounds like you just walk on the truck and pick shit up and dont ask s*** and buy it since u think its cool it had a cable attached, then had to watch a youtube video like because thats how stuff is sold. your so petty bro

When my truck wiped a lobe on the camshaft I knew I wasn?t going back with factory mds stuff and I was going to either have to pay someone to tune it or learn on my own and I realized before I ever bought hp tuners that it was going to be a lot of trial and error to get my truck to run with an aftermarket cam. Sure enough I swapped the cam and lifters, installed long tubes and an electric fan and tried to crank it and it did exactly what I thought it would. Didn?t run at all. That was almost three years ago. I?ve changed my tune more than 70 times now and actually have an issue right now with it pulling all of my ignition timing out if I enable my VVT and advance my cam through low and mid range. I?ll eventually get it figured out but I?ll just have to change stuff and see what happens. But you can?t expect something that allows you to change every single parameter that controls an engine and transmission to be simple. Should probably be more mad at dodge than anything or anyone else for making it so difficult. Good luck to you

we really just need a device that turns off mds, that simple and i sell them for like sixty bucks. i found many vidoes showing how much power people made and it sounded easy. i bought it and realized quickly its not. look wether im stupid for buying it or too stupid to use it either way i need some help, i could talk smack all day,... would love to see ya and talk smack about this hp tuners in person as i feel that way about it but thats the transparency im going for here and just like battlefield. i would die fighting over my opinion whether it matters or not thats where it stands. would love to be proved wrong but thats how its been going so far. im just gonna dump the whole thing and use hp tuners for exactly what they dont want u to do with it untill the licensing fee's are to much for someone to delete evap stuff and turn off their engine light. simple device yet overly complicated for what its sold as and would like to get some help but nothing really to show for it other than more problems.

im at the point where you almost couldnt pay me enough to say you tuned it with hp tuners and i be confident its actually working unless they are someone out of the top 100 in the world and on a tv star level stuff and then still how much money would play the bigger part.

it is alot more than a normal person wants to do for a tune and bolt ons.

Why would anyone want to help you after all the ranting and raving? All you've done is put down the equipment and professional tuners. The equipment is a scam. Professional tuners are scammers.

Tone down the ranting. HP tuners is by far the least expensive, broadest vehicle support, and most capable tuner I think there is and I am very happy to have it at this price point. A dyno, wide band O2, and controlled environment would be the "quickest" tuning scenario and give you that last couple peak HP numbers but it is not needed. Test driving with a wide band and data logging should get you 98+% of what a dyno could, or logging the fuel trims and using simple knowledge of how logic based fuel injection works will get you well in the ballpark of a "good" running engine.

If it runs bad in open loop but good in closed your base maps are off, you have a cam timing issue, a vacuum leak, or something else mechanically wrong. The MDS disable is a simple option in the HP Tuner, headers are not going to change the airflow characteristics of the engine enough to make it run like "doo doo", you will gain a few extra HP by tuning after headers but a stock tune should run just fine.

Is the 570.021.22.23.2.hpt file completely stock other then the MDS disabled? Stock cam? I don't see a log file uploaded. Any codes setting? Cam/Crank correlation in sync? Compression test numbers? You stated it runs good once it's warm meaning after switching to closed loop the computer is able to compensate enough running off the O2 sensor to correct what is wrong. I'm leaning more towards an intake/vacuum leak, or cam timing. We need more information and less ranting.

after realizing the intense depth and knowledge needed to use the "simple device." unfair to have a regular poor guy have to spend hundreds more or thousands on hp tuner classes specific to one thing. i dont see the value, very time consuming and other "tuners" are capitalizing on this open market, its under regulated. online reviews of the those with not so great results continually emerging leave me guarded.

i know bunches about engines, honestly this is all a bunch of new stuff i didn't care to really deal with. but was sold on a virtual ve tuning or something that sounded like auto tune in the advertising. easier than fast efi or a stand alone efi competitor for half the cost, was lies or incorrectly marketed. i can tell you all about engines and how they work prob put up any pic and i can guess the part maybe at best a few tries. hp tuners while yes having extremely detailed control and options is for a computer geek compared to me only using email and text for 35 years. and that nerd stole my time, money and i wanna beat it out of them.....

i put it back completly stock as suggested, did injector stuff and couple other things i know basic. going to put spark plugs in soon, gonna look around and will loook for air leaks.

update: it starts fine now. i think the ve table thing was to low, but im using the correct data logging to get to that ve table.if i watch another video of setting it up i will be able to repeat it word for word and make my own video.

air filter loss table seems to be doing the best to help the engine swing past the sluggishness it normally has without removing ve.
