Two quick questions as I have not dove this far into the Lt stuff. MSD manifold volume for the LT1 setup. Also being paired with the 103mm tb. Same changes apply to this as a gen 4 on the ETC scaler?

so, no one knows? ::sadpanda::
what is the msd manifold volume? anyone?
Manifold volume will need to be increased (I have not measured (almost impossible with runners inside with pleunum to measure with liquid.. increase it some but nothing crazy..
ETC scaler I don’t believe is as important on the gen 5 ECu but I still change this value out of good practice in my opinion.. I’ve left it stock and moved it all the way to 8,000 with no real difference however
So the ect scaler doesn't play hell with the air flow tables like the gen 4 stuff? interesting.
Trying to find the volume is proving to be a pain in the ass.
the more digging i do into this, the more the scaler doesn't need to be changed per Nick williams. The manifold volume doesn't seem to be present in the newer ones. Unless it's hiding somewhere
I’d be surprised if anyone knows...
Increase manifold volume half to a full point that be very close just looking at the manifolds (even if you were to leave it stock it would be fine, I just like all models as accurate as possible)
ETC scaler hasn’t done anything for me ha..
Same TB used on stingray and Z06 and scaler is different even then
Im running the NW 103 on a whipple and putting any value into the ETC scalar doesn't seem to change anything.
that is what I am finding. Got the deer in the headlights look from MSD on this as well.
So, really dumb question.
No transient tab under fuel for the Camaro stuff? For the volume change. Can not find this single cell for the life of me and I have been all over the map. Was it removed? I know the earlier GDI trucks had it.
Don’t recall what it’s under off the top of my head but it’s in there under manifold volume (factory c7 Intake iis around 12.x I believe and truck intake around 14.x??)
Just seen your reply.. I have a few 18 lt4 files and I’m 90% sure there in there Bc I change manifold volume on ported blowers
Either im blind, or it's not in 4.0.12 for the truck, camaro, or vette.
Updated to latest "stable" version. not in their either. Been up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right. Found A, can't find B. :(
I have the same question about the MSD manifold volume. its located airflow-Speed density-dynamic airflow. what number has produced the best results and how does this effect MAF tuning?
Sounds like you are having a transient fueling issue??
There are a few transient type of parameters based on rpm. The more pressure, the more fuel you will get on a DI engine. The injector is opening the same amount regardless is what I found on Gen V. Steady state driving one fuel pressure, transient increase fuel pressure x amount to suffice what you need for the extra fueling at the given rpm. If certain VE area only, up the pressure based on rpm and airmass vs just the rpm.
My LT1 with LT4 S/C I had lean transient condition even after VE table was great. It would be 3-5% lean and do this no matter what until about 3,200rpm and be fine after that. Changed two parameters a little bit and perfect. I actually run a slightly modified LT4 VE and coefficients table to mimic the LT4 setup for correct VE vs MAF calculations. The Gen V has so many great features within the ecm.
If you're moving that much more airflow, make sure to up the values in engine diag to allow for this and not trigger the check engine light.
