2004 GTO 4l60e ISS
Curious if anyone has added input shaft speed sensor setup to a p59 in a 2004 GTO
Or really any p59 with 4l60e
4l80e in trucks uses pins 22/23 green for ISS
Those pins are empty on 60e vehicles
Curious if I can just pin them then look for the PID in the scanner? Has anyone tried this and had success?

You would need a transmission that has the sensor already, like a 4L70E. You would need the pump, input shaft with reluctor teeth and the internal wiring harness to convert a 4L60E to have the ISS. Then I'm not sure if the P59 would read it. I'm attaching an XDF that could be used with User Defined Parameters. I think you would have to change the first two parameters to the ISS being fitted and then turn on P0716 and P0717 in the remaining 4 tables. I'm not even sure if this would even work, or if something else would need to be turned on. Of the logic could be completely missing for this to happen on a P59 with a 4L60E.

I don't know about the programing side, but transmission wise you would need a different stator support, input shaft, and internal wiring harness. Then externally you would need to provide a sensor ground, power and add a wire to bring the signal to the controller to the pin it needs to go to. Why would you want to do that anyway?

Sorry I left this thread idle
Had to do a password reset and get into my locked gmail. what a mess.
anyway
The trans side is No problem.
I run a transmission shop and have all the proper transmission stuff. Wiring is non-issue.
I was just curious if the programming/data logging side of things would work.
I really only want to be able to log ISS
I don't want it to play into shift tables and lockup function like it does on later t42 tcm's paired with e67 ecm in the tbss platform
I strictly want it as a fun logging tool
