Emissions Test questions
Well, it's time for my emissions test! I posted here as opposed to the V6 section as I assume, emissions related stuff are pretty generic.
I have a few questions about the emissions test because I'm not sure I will pass.
What tests are done, and what should I be scanning in order to correct possible issues?
I have removed the EGR and all the codes associated. I also deleted the rear o2 code (using a magnaflow HF cat). Will this be an issue?
Prior to the cam, heads and headers, with the remaining mods, I passed emissions.
Any other suggestions or comments? I have a V6 and I'm hoping, if I need to make any changes, they can be done with the existing parameters. If not, can anyone suggest what parameters I would need to request that are more than likely available in the V8.
Thanks for your time!

It's a touchy subject so I'll confine my remarks to making the
car run as clean as it can.
One thing that will help is for the closed loop fueling to swing
tight and fast, not (as you often see with headers) bury low
and hang out, then slam high for a while, etc. Proportional
fueling and O2 sensor transport delays seem to drive this on
V8s, dunno about V6s.
For hydrocabon emissions you would want to run a clean oil
and roll in with a well warmed up car. Higher coolant temp
(within reason) tends to make for cleaner / more efficient
running so you might want to up the fan settings.
Presuming this is a sniffer and not just a "light check".
