Supercharged v6 Questions
I have a 2000 v6 camaro. I will soon have one of the rksport/powerdyne supercharger kits.
The units seem to come with alot of hardware sutch as an FMU and a ingition retard modual..
Will it be possible to run the car without these? using your tuning software?
Idealy i want to be able to run the kit.. and in case something goes wrong be able to go back to stock relativly quickly..
ie uninstall the SC headunit, and return the cpu back to stock.. thus not having to mess with the fmu and ignition retard module..
also will this software support the same paramters and logging features as autotap??
thanks,

Re: Supercharged v6 Questions
I ran my powedyne with no fmu and no timing retard.
I'm getting 5 degrees of knock retard.
It wants to run a little lean on top.
In my case, reprogramming would allow me to take 2-3 degrees out of the timing advance on top, which would eliminate the knock retard. And I could change the fuel mapping on top, to account for the extra air flow.
The only snag will be if the injectors are already at max duty cycle. Then you need bigger injectors, or more fuel pressure (fmu) to make them act like bigger injectors.
Re: Supercharged v6 Questions
hmm.. Yeah, I think I may wait for this software to come out then...
becuase I wont have the ignition retard modual.. so the software will help me deal with that for sure..
I will proboably still install the fmu.. and then tune with it from there.. that or run larger injectors.. then deal with the tuning..
:banghead: <-- me waiting for the software to come out..
