That's an XCal2. There's been rumors running around that HPT may have collaborated, and/or sold. Any information on this?

no it's not, hardware and the case are actually different (we use an off the shelf Pactec case). All of our hardware and boards are 100% designed in house. SCT use an external company to design their hardware and according to our sources their case is a custom job they had made (looks surprisingly like the Pactec case though).
At SEMA they claimed we copied their firmware menu's and everything, claiming they had actually used the unit on our booth. Unfortunately all the demo units on display aren't even functional!! LOL
Hope that clears it up!
Chris...
hahaha, yeah thats about as far from the truth as it gets. I wanna know how these rumors start lol
I heard that HPT was recently sold to Daewoo , any truth to it? :P
I went to McDonald's the other day, and I used an HPT interface to pay with my debit card. So I guess HPT was bought out by McDonald's...
I think it is the other way around, HPT acquired McDonalds ... it all started with that burrito warmer. Next is conquering the world!:secret:
hahaha, been a while since i heard a burrito warmer joke... :)Quote:
