e38 ecm code p0606 - clears and comes back

Hey everyone,

I have a L92 from a 2008 escalade in my 96 LX450 (Landcruiser) with a manual trans and a cts-v pedal. I have never touched the throttle tables.

I have been getting the code "P0606 ECM/PCM Processor" every 2-3 start ups, it started happening about 2 weeks ago. It will start and idle with a dead throttle. I can clear the code and drive normally with no issue. The first time it happened I was in the desert 150 miles from home and got back no problem.

I have had this setup for 2+ years and over 12k miles with no issues. I have checked all grounds and wires and everything looks good.

Could it be the ECM is dying?
Is there anything else I should check?
If I replace the ECM and I am unable to do the crank re-learn process because of the manual trans will it run and drive normally?

Then why would work with no issue for 2+ years? CTS-v in a swap is common with no issue.

Anyone have constructive input?

If it still runs fine with the code set then set the code to NER. I had to do that on a 08 Escalade a few years ago and never heard back from the customer.

Figured it out! The nut holding the main ECU power cable to the lug on the power distribution block was slightly loose. Tightened it up and it's good to go.
