MPVI3 intermittent fail to read

Hi guys, first post here, have a couple of questions on the MPVI3 stand alone data logging. (yeah, I searched, found one thread, questions not answered)

1. After stand alone logging it will fail to read - specifically: VCM Scanner> vehicle> MPVI2 Data Logging (no MPVI3 option?!)> "Getting log entries completed" Failed.
Sometimes it WILL read the log entries but in Log Files> Read Selected it will fail to read. If I play around (exit program, unplug device, etc) it will work - sometimes.
This is intermittent, it works perfectly at times. File size doesn't seam to matter. How I start & stop logging doesn't either. Any help is greatly appreciated.

2. How do I set up markers? Currently it is set on "Short Button Press" to start and "Short Button Press" to stop. No other Triggers selected. So if I want to insert a marker, I press the
button BUT that stops logging. Am I missing something simple?

Currently experiencing 100% unable to read logs from the device. I have tried uninstalling, re-installing VCM Suite beta and stable. Re-synced interface via Help menu. Re-synced Interface Resources via the data logging interface. Any information on how to fix this would be appreciated. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver (seems to be a generic Windows usb to serial com driver) but nothing works. This is quite maddening, can someone please address this issue?

I am having the same issue as stated above, i can not stand alone data log, it won't read logs, won't let me config the unit etc.
