I?m new to hp tuners any info I would greatly appreciate.when i pulled my stock tune I have it saved,I?ve made changes to it and applied the data patch to the os.should I license the original stock file first,or the file I?ve applied the data patch and tune too.does it matter? I want to be able to return it to stock when I need to.
The license applies to the VIN number not each specific file. No matter which file you choose the first time you try to flash that vehicle it will ask you to license that VIN number.
Keeping multiple files is a good habit however I always save any changes as a new file that way you can always go back to the previous change or compare your file against the stock file.
