His model year has no such engine control for cat over temp or cylinder cooling, no Ram Cummins has any control logic for cylinder cooling
Yeah, just realized its diesel.
What I had once in my old 05 I used to have was one of the rail pressure tables, believe it was the coolant temp one, during really hot days it would cause rail pressure and pulsewidth to start creeping up during coast down and idle. Made some adjustments to that table so it was out of the way and the ecm wouldn’t switch over to it and all was good.
People call those tables for rail pressure, timing, etc. adder tables but that’s misleading because that’s not how they are configured within the ecm. They are conditional tables, what’s set in them plus the multiplier table, the ecm will switch to those tables from the normal air density select tables under certain conditions, say if the result in one of them for main timing is higher than the timing set in the air density select table it would be operating on, it will switch to that conditional table.
