I have a 2020 Silverado with a 6l80 recently rebuilt and custom tuned. I?ve driven it about 15000 miles and every-time I am cruising at 75-80, it feels like the torque converter engages extremely hard. The last time it did, it made everyone in the truck freak out it slammed so hard. The transmission shop drove it and it claims they noticed nothing wrong. Any ideas so I can force them to fix it?
Side note, other than that issue the truck drives and shifts great, average tranny temp is 138ish
Without a tune and datalog with information its all a guess.
I have access to a hp tuner, can I pull that info without buying a license for the truck?Quote:

Ok, it won’t let me scan the tcm, the abs light blinks and the truck starts beeping at me is all that happens. I did drive it with the scanner on. When the hard engagement occurred I was driving 77mph. When I looked at the log it shows I went from a 20ish tcc rpm slip to a negative 25 rpm slip. My truck shows the engine rpm’s went up about 150rpms.
Take your transmission shop guy for a ride and point out the issue.
Without us being able to see the data, all we can do is guess.
