5.7 hemi eagle/vvt into 2006 300c (new guy, yes I searched a lot)
Good evening, hemi fans
I'm installing an 'eagle' hemi into a 2006 300c
6.0 liter, 5.7 block and pistons, 6.4 crank, rods, and mds cam, 6.1 heads drilled for egr, 10:1
I could use some advice from people with more experience than me here
Ideally this swap will have functional vvt when complete
Is the best plan:
A- 2009 pcm, 60-2 crank trigger wheel, eagle engine wiring harness and alternator
(this exists in various forums but it appears that cruise control may not function, which is a big deal to me)
B- 2006 pcm and crank trigger wheel, rpm switch to control on/off vvt solenoid (advanced position until 4800 rpm, retarded position from there to redline, not much phasing, simply binary state - the question being how much cam/crank sync error can be tolerated by the 2006 pcm, and can that tolerance be adjusted)
C- 2006 pcm, lock the cam phaser, degree the cam like an old school hotrod, and call it good
Thanks in advance for your insights
