Really struggling on my friends car here. Every pull there is torque reduction through spark even though I have turned that off. Its showing spark source is tip in detonation. This isn't actual knock but it is killing timing and making it very inconsistent. 2012 mustang gt big single turbo. It has a stock TB and boss 302 intake, DW1000 injectors, running E50 ethanol. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Never had this problem on other mustangs I have tuned.
There are ways to do it but most boosted calibrations like roush or whipple tend to keep it.

I took a second sweep over your log/tune and I must say that tip-in logic is not your problem here. Spark source jumping
between brdl and tip in suggests something else.

The tipin knock retard can be triggered by pedal position or rapid load change. You can see how your load log is very "noisy". I've had "noise" in the load cause it to trigger tip-in retard. The quick-n-dirty solution is to increase the delta load threshold for tip-in retard (ECM 44612). The harder but better answer is to figure out why your load log is so noisy. Your MAF translation doesn't look right above 80 lb/min but the problem starts way before then. I'd probably work on the MAF translation curve some but also check over the MAF installation as well.
I had noticed that as well. The maf, air load, a lot of the graphs are just not smooth and didn't know why that is. I'd seen this on a gm car when the injector data was wrong and discovered the previous tuner did use the wrong injector data so I fixed that but the problem still continues. It could be the maf, its in a custom enclosure. I tried to rescale for the bouncing around I was seeing at idle. Maybe that has caused this issue? I can always try the stock curve and see if the issue gets any better. I will try the delta change like you suggested for now and if that does not work try going back to a stock maf curve.Quote:
