Logging with new AEM wideband and pro link input needed

Good Evening, I was trying to go about tuning my MAF today using the AEM 4110 wideband through data logging with the prolink on my MVPI3.

I have attached my last data log, the layout im using and also the tune i am running to get the maf dialed in.

If any one can look it over and tell me what your seeing and does anything stand out? It drives well enough, idle and part throttle everything stays close to 14.7. however its not a rock solid 14.7 at idle. it fluxuates to 15 as well.

one other thig i noticed is when getting into close to full throttle afr goes up to 15 plus. instead of down to 13 like i believe it should. (AM i running out of injector here when this is happening?

i am running the stock 24lb injectors. my combo is an lq4 with BTR stage 2 truck cam and mild porting and polishing of the heads.

Im pretty sure i dont have enough injector (why my afr goes lean when wide open throttle) but id sure like some input on the fluxuation of the afr at idle

Short term trims are still active, so what your wideband sees is the result after trims have been applied, not the pure numbers that are in the VE/MAF tables. Look at Engine > Fuel > Open Loop / Base: STFT Open Loop

Your LTFT is still populated also (leftovers from before it was forced into OL), those need to be cleared manually in the scanner. Get in the habit of clearing them every time, even when you're pretty sure there shouldn't be an leftovers to get rid of. Because if you guess that you won't need to, sometimes you'll guess wrong and it'll bite you.

Add channels for Injector PW B1/B2. That is what you need to look at to judge where you're at with injector headroom, and you aren't logging those.

The wideband is going to bounce between like 14.0-15.2 because the o2 sensors do swing lean and rich of stoich, so that is completely normal to see.

Your PE settings need a lot of work, it's basically disabled at the moment. You need to hit 5,500rpm and a 60 second time delay to even enter PE.

Change your settings to 65% throttle, 1,500rpm delay, 0 second time delay.

You need to be logging your injector duty cycle to see what the injectors are doing. The log never went into PE and you never went full throttle. But I can tell you for sure that you don't have enough injector with that combo you have. You'll be out of injector before probably 5,500-5,600rpm at full throttle. I probably wouldn't shift this thing past 6,200rpm. So you'll want to get your shift points in around there because it will make power to 6,000rpm easy.

Use the fuel trims to tune part throttle and the wideband to tune full throttle. The fueling is still a little lean per that log in the 2,000-3,500 rpm range at partial throttle.

i see that stft now! i apeaciate that. Ill disable the stft and add the PW B1/B2 chanels and try again tomorrow!! there is so much to learn but im getting there thanks to folks like you and endless resesarch.

You don't have to disable the fuel trims to use the wideband to tune. Just remember you got to add the fuel trims to the wideband error.

So if fuel trims are + 10% and wideband is 14.7 you still need to add 10%. Or if the fuel trims are 0/0 and the wideband is 5% rich you need to take out 5%. Does that make sense? As long as this is a cam that will get along with fuel trims I'd recommend using both in conjunction to get very close...then before closing the tune out only use the fuel trims at part throttle as the WB will have some bias in it just from the intentional rich lean swing used to hit the cats with O2.

The fuel trims alone are too slow to get the proper shape of the VE table especially in a GEN 3. You'll have spots around idle and at light load/decel that can wreck return to idle, cause parking lot stalling, etc..

Using both will get things in line super quick.

Yeah, but to use trims it should really be properly in closed loop (even if only using STFT), not forced OL with the goofy 'use STFT in OL' accidentally left enabled.

I ended up making all the changes sugested. i ran the MAF tuning setup with the widband disabled the trims ect.... made the changes to the tune reloaded. then once it was dialed in i changed the tune back to ltfts and stfts enabled, open and closed loop enabled, ect. also changed up the PE to that works now, i logged a run up the road as is and i think it drives pretty dang good. If yall were curious i edited the original post with the updated tune, layout and log with these changes.
I sure apreaciate the help.

Ill be doing the SD tuning next but i think im going to wait until i get my new 50lb injectors in to do that
