Problems with Dakota Digital GPS to VS

Hey guys hoping someone could check out my log to see if I could get this figured out. 2011 Camaro SS L99 to tr6060 swap (LT tr6060). The LT trans uses a 3 wire vss hall effect vss sensor and my car is looking for a 2 wire sine wave signal. I bought the gen 5 sensor and it's physically too big to fit in the 6th gen sensor provision so that wouldn't work. Bought the dakota digital gps-50-2. got it hooked up as a stand alone running speed 2 to the vss high. Speedometer is working perfect checking with gps. Only kicker is when the vss is unhooked it runs great. With it hooked up it runs like crap and revs to 2000 rpm between every shift and hangs there for several seconds until it drops back down to normal 950 rpm. Any suggestions?
