GEN 5, Truck Norris cam, need advice/ direction on tuning.

I have done a DOD delete,
So far I have done some basic idle and airflow tuning.
Brought the truck to the point where its running smoothly and not wanting to stall
I have disabled DOD, I have used BTRs numbers to tune my camshaft phaser.
I have logged my VE tables and adjusted my lean/rich data logs (still working on that)

Just looking for some advice as to what to do next, what im missing.
Im still trying to figure out how to tune AFR.
Truck is actually running smoothly, but people have said they feel a slight misfire, im trying to differentiate between the larger truck norris cam vs actual misfire.
Im a complete newb to all this.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Gen 5 is a tough place to learn as a newb but kudos to starting.

To tune WOT AFR, you need a wideband. No exceptions. to tune closed loop AFR, you can use the O2 sensors and STFT/LTFT. There are a few ways to do it, all discussed in depth on this forum. Personally, I use Dynamic Air Delta's between VVE and MAF Airflow but this is a bit more advanced for those who have plenty of experience. You also have to worry about torque values.

But I will say with that cam, you can get away with some minor changes in the MAF and VVE, keeping torque aligned. You will want a little more timing in the low RPM part throttle area, especially in the area where you are leaving a stop light. Then at WOT it will be fine with stock timing but would likely be good with an additional 1-2 degrees if you're running 93 octane pump fuel.

Slight misfire wouldn't be a tune issue unless you have the fuel wayyyyy off. It would likely be a loose plug wire or something mechanical. If you're fuel trims are split by a lot at idle, then you have an issue somewhere, likely with an O2 sensor, and that can cause misfires. No log, no tune so just generalizing here.

Thanks for the help, ive got my VE ans MAF very close now.
It was running way too lean, I had to make some big adjustments
I do now feel like when I rev it I hear possible spark knock.
I have not figured out the spark tables but I may take your advice and start from there.
I will see how it feels.

Best way for us to help is to also post the file you are working on so we can see what all has been changed and/or modified currently.
Like he said, Gen V can be a bit confusing as a starting point as they are torque based models, but your set up isn't too crazy of a combination to figure out.
