96 Viper connection issues

I am unable to get the scanner to show data while engine is running. It pulls data and will record only if the key is in run position with engine off. I?ve re-polled for supported parameters with no luck. I?ve made user defined pids, however, I can?t add them to channels because user defined pids are not listed on the drop down. I have updated vcm editor and tried both stable and beta versions

There are no issues with vcm editor reading or writing.

I have no issues pulling the same data with my autoenginuity or autel scan tools.

Any input would be greatly appreciated
