Jeep NGC3 WranglerFix PCM Unlocker Timeout

I received my MPVI3 today, set it up, and went to read the stock tune on the WranglerFix PCM (ECM and TCM in a single case) in my 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

The status bar says to turn the key off for 3 seconds and back on, and each time I get the "unlocker time out" error.

I deselected the ECM from the list and tried again. This time there was a pop-up saying to key off then key on and click "OK", after which it did read the TCM.

I deselected the TCM and attempted to read the ECM alone and still get the same thing. No pop-up and the "unlocker timeout" error after the key off-on.

Drove it to breakfast pulling some log info just to play and decided to give it a go when I got to the restaurant and see if it would pull the data. It read the ECM first try so I fell like it was low battery voltage in the Jeep and/or the laptop.

Laptop was over half but I charged it all night and the resting voltage of the battery should have been a touch higher after the drive out (15min) this morning.

Moving forward with figuring out all the tables from here.

I'm sure the low vehicle battery voltage was causing the issues. The JTEC+ and NGC3 years always got weird ECM/PCM issues.

I'd be interested in comparing stock timing between my. JTEC+ Rubi and your NGC3. I help my Dad with his stock LJ Rubi as well. I saw you mention tuning of LTFT. Do you have a wideband installed? I have a PLX wideband O2 installed between the cats connected via Prolink to HPTuners. You might find that data useful.

I don't have a WBO2 yet. The only changes from 100% stock so far are a cheapo throttle body spacer that was installed when I got it, a full aFe 2.5" exhaust from the exhaust manifold back (all new aFe cats and pipes but factory manifold), and a set of 4 hole injectors from Precision Auto Injectors.

I'm trying to correct my LTFTs for the 4 hole injector change since they don't have the same flow or spray characteristics as the stock single hole but I don't have a spec sheet on them and it doesn't look like PAI does a full flow span test on them. I'm waiting to hear back on the rated flow and pressures for them as a better starting point.

I might toss my stock PCM in the Jeep and try to pull the stock tune from it to compare to my WranglerFix PCM. My stock PCM is pretty flaky though, so I don't know if I'd be able to read it. It wouldn't let me pull or reset codes there at the end before I swapped it out.
