I have a stock 02 C5. What is the best method to tune the idle so that the trims are close to 0? Once it is off idle, the trims stay relatively close to 0, but at idle, warmed up, they stay around 23.

Which trims are you referring to? Are you seeing +23 on LTFT?
This car is completely stock I'm assuming from the title of this thread.
I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the oxygen sensor(s)
at this point?
Sounds like a vacuum or air leak.
The LTFT's are disabled, because I bracket race the car weekly, and I don't want anything changing. It is the STFT's going to 23, and only at idle. Yes, the car is stock with a Vararam only.

Post up the IAC counts, and also look for vacuum leaks as mentioned.
Is it possible a vacuum line was disconnected when installing the vararam?
No vacuum leaks. Not long ago my old tuner changed something so that the STFT's would add fuel at idle, vs take away fuel, and I think he over compensated. This leads me back to my original question:
What is the best method to tune the idle so that the trims are close to 0?
Can you simply use the VE table, or do you also have to tweek the MAF table? Or, is there something under the "Idle" section to do this?
