Please comment on this tune......

I have been running this tune for about a year now and "things" have changed. Not sure why, it was about as perfect as I could get it at the time. The drive was not to smooth but this should be enough to get an idea.

One thing that bothers me is that I disconnect the MAF and the engine dies....IIRC its not supposed to do that, right?

I am also interested in contacting an expert that can help with any issues. I pay 100 bucks an hour for consulting over the phone. This is for 7 days a week if able. I have done this in the past and it was the best 100 bucks I ever spent!!!!!

ve table needs tending too.. how many miles have been put on it sense you first tuned it?

Put the VE table back to stock and tune the maf imo. VE table does nothing in these pcm's and that's why it dies when you unplug the maf. (99% of the os's out there I should say) PS you are very erratic with the throttle lol

I have about 5k on the latest tune. 20K total on the car.

VE needs work......Hmmm I dont know what I changed but can put it back to stock.

MAF needs tuning thats what I thought too. My question is:
Why does a MAF go out of tune?

What is not helping is the 5 speed manual, and shifting. I have found that the shift can put bad data in cells but if done carefully and hoovering over the cells which look bad, the number will change to something exceptable. I will hit it hard this weekend and see if I cant double check everything and clean it up.

doubt that it just happened, prolly the weather changes made in more obvious.

It takes a little while for the narrowband to respond to changes in the exhaust, that's why it takes a little hovering in cells. But that's a good thing, makes your scan more accurate.

Make a custom histogram which adds LTFT + STFT and then plots that value against the MAF table Hz. All you need to do then, is copy, paste, multiply by %. Do that a couple times and you should be tuned perfectly. Keep WOT and decel out of the scan though.

I guess that is the whole point......the MAF was tuned almost perfectly, off no more than 2 points and now its different.

I have the LTFT + STFT, PID on one computer but cant get it to work on the current computer......Go figure. I am not a good PID creator and had help with this one, and that is why I am having trouble with it now, on top of that it was a year ago........ and im getting O. L. D.

This weekend will be a tell all as i will have time to really get some work done.

Well if it was already tuned, it shouldn't really need it again. That's the whole point of the oxygen sensor and fuel trims.

What exactly is wrong with it? The scan looked okay to me, aside from the fact that you weren't scanning any useful parameters lol :P

EDIT wow wasn't looking at the fuel trims in your scan. Put the VE table back to stock and clear your fuel trims. See where it goes from there.

Edit again: dude you have a wideband, dont even bother with fuel trims lol. Plot AFR error vs the maf table and you're done. Paste special, multiply by %. Assuming the only thing wrong here is your maf tune?

I wasent scanning anything useful!!!! Hey, please educate me! Yeah, some of the scan info was just for curiosity. The good news though was no KR!

What items need to be scanned?

Will probably perform a MAF tune just to keep up on the process. After all its been a year.

So while scanning today, it all started coming back to me, how to tune the MAF.......The problem still, why is the MAF so far off, today it registered upwards of 15% off. It was perfect a year ago....... I guess I will just go ahead and tune the MAF and keep an eye on it.
