screwy scans in SD, normal in MAF
I got version 1.6 downloaded right after you released it.
I went out to do a scan in SD mode for the first time. I set the "maf fail frequency" to 0 and zero out the "max delta air flow" table, and set the 101..103 codes to 'no MIL light'. I did not disconnect the actual plug from the MAF, as I've read just setting the aforementioned values is enough. I hit 'reset fuel trims' and 'fuel trim learn'
SES goes off as it supposed to, and scanner shows 0 reading for MAF raw. So it looks like i'm in SD mode. then i go ride for a while, giving it different throttle etc. then i look at LTFTs and none of them are populated. same with STFTs. i switch to retard/advance, and strangely, only the first row (0.08 ) values are populated for both, and seem to behave normally.
AFR(narrowband mode) behaves normally, populating a whole area of values.
confused, i do a quick fix on the tune, and put 'max delta air flow' values back to stock, and go for a ride again. same screwy log.
I put everything back to stock, and i get one more log on a way home. Retard/Advance areas seem to function normal, but LTFT/STFTs are completely empty.
At home I reloaded all my logs, to make sure it's in the actual logs, not just a display error. I do 'load all data' and the exact thing happens--screwy logs in the cases of logs in SD mode.
Any ideas? I'd try going back to 1.5.2 (1.6 has been generally more flakey) but its too cold to just go out and futz with it.
Do you have any software updates for 1.6 yet?
thanks,
Marcin
Re: screwy scans in SD, normal in MAF
The weather is too bad to log here in Indy, but with 1.6.0 I had this same issue.
The big guys gave me version 1.6.1 and I haven't tried to see if that will fix it yet.
Another thought was that I had changed the Closed Loop Enable Coolant Temp vs IAT table to 250 to disable closed loop, so it would make sense that I have no LTFT's since closed loop was disabled. You might want to check if you have also disabled closed loop.
Re: screwy scans in SD, normal in MAF
E-mail me your log and I'll take a look at it.
Sounds like g/cyl is not being calculated correctly. Perhaps remove the MAF Airflow from the table display and log dynamic cyl air.
Re: screwy scans in SD, normal in MAF
please try right-click load defaults in the table display. Te display should show 24 bytes used. My guess is it currently shows 23.
Save the config as default.cfg
Re: screwy scans in SD, normal in MAF
im still having the same problem, mostly on v6 cars, when i go to the table and say load default, it still says 23 no matter what. i even deleted some and added pids, and it still didnt change.... What should i do??
Re: screwy scans in SD, normal in MAF
is 1.6.1 available for download in general? I've been playing with it a lot, and it crashes frequently(ie yesterday i lots almots 50mins of important logs because hpt just froze), 1.5.2 never did that to me.

Write the bosses, they gave me 1.6.1 free when my scanner started crashing. It fixed 95% of the odd stuff.
