It can take all of the boost...j/k. They can take quite a lot, but I personally wouldn't run any higher than what your map sensor can read. The amount of timing is going to vary greatly depending on fuel, plugs, intercooler setup, type of boost, level of boost, etc. Shift rpm is also going to vary depending on cam/valve train, application and power curve. That being said why are you shifting so early? You should be able to push that back about 1k rpm.
I've seen 18-20 psi on the internet, somewhere around 700-800whp. At that point you are just waiting for the rods to bend lol.
The fastest stock bottom end 5.3 is running 4s in the 1/8th at 40 psi on methanol haha

he even has the tunes on there for ya to look at

Read the whole thing... end is great.
Gen3 LM7 very happy at 12PSI.
90 Octane Unleaded limits my spark : 11 degrees up high, dipping to 8 degrees between 4000-4400 rpm.
I have Just started spraying 6 gph 70% methanol a couple days ago, might be able to get more spark advance.
10 years? Feels like just yesterday lol
Since we are on this. 250K mile stock LM7 in a 2003 Avalanche. 12 psi from an intercooled Torque Storm at 5,800 rpm. 16 total timing until the IATs heat up over 110F and AFR is high 10s/low 11s until it gets over 8 psi at which point I richen it up into the low-mid 10s. Remember it has no added ring gap and added fueling helps reduce the heat. 2nd gear WOT in 100F ambients, IATs reach 140F and timing is down to 13.5. Oh yea it has a stock rebuild of the 4L60E a few years ago too. What can go wrong with this one, lol. My buddy is FULL SEND with stuff too. He full sent it with a nearly empty tank of fuel, starved the fuel rail and had it misfire heavily under boost. It survived.
I've ran as much as 18 PSI through numerous stock bottom end and 100% stock internal engines. I've had many last years at 15 PSI on pump gas, 93-94 around here.
Just gotta run em fat and keep the timing low enough and hope for the best LOL.
