Virual Torque tbales.

Guys I been messing around with my 2015, got a BTR cam kit and trying to tune the Torque Tables the truck dies sometimes out of no where.

I raise the torque tables and help but I'm asking around if there's a parameter or a table I can make in order to tune the torque tables?

depending on your cam, you will need to tune your airflow models VE/MAF first then adjust your torque tables accordingly

So it’s there a percentage to add on the torque tables? I tune it Open Loop MAF only it help, was dying less so I add on the torque tables know I’m getting a little surge, and once a while doing a burnout letting go the gas it turns off.

Desired map is important to view vs actual... what happens when you add a cam.. map KPA goes up so desired vs actual changes quite a bit depending on cam size.. this plays into the Tq model and needs to be changed to reflect the cam, I do this on the Tq map coefficients..

I also work my spark on my Tq model from 0-40 degrees spark and cylinder load and map little past what I will see on the setup..
The Tq coif is setup in Standard form at 800mg which is .80 cylinder load
NA cam stuff I change this to around 1200 which is 1.20 cylinder load

So we have to increase or decrease the values in the virtual torque tables?

Sometimes both :), learn to log it and make changes and you’ll see what I wants.. it’s like dialing in anything else that you’re commanding, you’re always attempting to hit the desired/target

So what we need to do its get the timing high working out the torque tables?

torque is nothing more than the work done by the calculated air. All of the air models have to be correct. all of the airflow changes have to be applied to the torque tables. The same principles still apply. The ecm still looks at all of the air coming in, but now computes for what happened to that air with combustion. Treat the torque tables to the same changes as the airflow tables, and life will be easier.
