One big lap w/XGPS160 & setting start/finish

I ran an HPDE at Pitt Race. I really like the layout of the track addict app best. I purchased the GPS receiver and it connected fine. I would not break into laps. It was a 28 minute lap. I had start/finish as auto so then I decided to select it exactly on the map. Set both at the same GPS location. It still did not recognize the laps. I switched to Race Chrono for my last session, and it connected to the GPS receiver, and did the laps correct without changing any settings. I really prefer your app. What did I do wrong?
