Hi everyone my names is Paul,
I?ve studied electronics during my high school days and graduated in 88 as an electronic technician and thereafter I?ve worked for a car dealership for a few years. I?ve always been interested in automotive electronics and as a kid I grew up helping my Dad with his 67? Chevy Malibu and that big block 396 V8 which is were most of my mechanical hands-on developed. After working for a company in the mid 90?s as an electronic technician working on Kronos timekeeping products I went back to school and took up computers and from there I?ve build and put together my first computer but I didn?t stop there as I was more interested in the development and programming language that I started to take on computer languages and programming applications such as Visual Basic and C++. In the late 90?s I wanted something different so I applied for a job as a fire alarm electronic technician and they needed someone with computer skills so I told them that I have training working on the IBM AS-400 system and from there on I?ve worked for that company for over 20 years and during my time there I became interested in Data Aquisition and how data can be used. Which brings me back to the present we?re I own a 2007 350Z VQHR that I purchased directly from the dealership. There are so many aftermarket?s for this vehicle that I decided to take on my first custom build vehicle designing from the outside to the interior and of course the performance engine built that I am about to explore. Yes, I am a beginner as this my first project vehicle that I own that I will be spending on and designing myself. I hope that if I do get into an issue that you all can lend me a helping hand or at least point me in the right direction.

Hey guys, my name is Noel and I'm from Queens NY. New to the hp tuners and look forward to learning and doing my research.
It's getting harder and harder to find a genuine tuner that's not too busy or wants to charge a ridiculous amount of money to help you get the best out of your build. Hence why i am here.

Hello everyone! Name is David and I live in North Eastern KY, originally from WV. Retired Class 1 Locomotive Engineer, former Active (10 year) Duty Infantryman, and a Born-again Preacher. Married with 5 children, 1 stepson and 8 Grandkids.
Many hobbies, but in the process of swapping a 1997 Z28 with LT1 to a 0411 PCM from a 2001 Express Van 5.7L and am trying to locate good pinout diagram for the 2001 Express Van 0411, so if anyone knows where this can be found for free I'd appreciate it. I have found several but lots of variations with most of them and I know different size engines were utilized as well. The good thing from my research is that the L31 Vortech 5.7L is almost identical to the LT1 in as far as single coil, firing order, and such. I am thinking of an ALLData subscription as I believe I may be able to get it there. I have pinouts for the 97 LT1 in my Factory Service manuals. I also reckon I will need to find a pinout diagram to redo the connectors and where they go and in which connector.
Eventually going to try my hand at tuning, to do simple things which will allow me to start the car not drive but move in out garage as necessary until I can get her dyno-tuned properly.
So, gonna have lots of questions and appreciate any and all assistance anyone can send my way!
David

Hey guys. I'm Michael. I'm a car guy that happens to be an engineer. I've owned a lot of jalopies over the years and most of my tuning experience has been with carbs and mechanical diesels. I try to do absolutely everything myself while learning from others.
I purchased HP Tuners a few months back to support my excursion into the LS world. So far I've got a 4.8/4l803 swapped into my 2002 2500HD standard cab short bed work/woods truck, a healthy 6.0/4l80e in a 1990 Suburban that just a few weeks from starting for the first time, and a 6.0/Tremec Magnum waiting to go into a 1967 Ford Country Squire.
I look forward to learning a little and hopefully passing it on someday!

Hello. I am a guy with autism in my 20s named Alex from Wisconsin. While I don't tune or anything, am fascinating in science. Tuning involves a lot of parameters, so it would be cool to talk about that. Also, if any of you guys have tuned Ford Crown Vics or own them, it would be cool to talk about their performance and what made you decide to mod them. Those are the coolest cars in my opinion. Also, Toyota AE86s with swapped engines or RWD swapped Preludes seem interesting, and are my favorite cars as they're quite unique.

Hello, relatively new to HP tuners and the form. So far everyone that I have interacted with on the forum has been so helpful and informative of the task at hand.
I am a Controls Engineer and work mainly with industrial machine controls and process loops. My background started at a young age growing up on an old farm that we had to do as much repairs as possible to be able to profit and keep the farm running efficiently. I was very fortunate to have uncles that took up the time with me at this early age of my childhood.
My working career has always stayed in electrical / electronic diagnostics, repair and engineering. For quite some time I had my auto diagnostics shop and I pretty much only took in the complex troubleshooting that many have already gave up on. I had to give this up due to not having time from my day job in the automotive industry as a robots and plc programmer that went to 12 plus hour shifts. The past 10 years I have been out of the automotive industry with intent to hop back in the saddle but career changes and moving slowed this down. I am finally in my hometown and have been slowly building a customer base and found that I have a passion for tuning. I have a real interest in BCM programming and CAN Bus integration / hacking.
I have learned so much since I first started with HP tuners, and I hope that someday I will be able to help others as well as I have had and have seen the help other have had.

my name is dan, i'm from ontario canada. I'm a mine superintendent in the yukon and am new to the tuning world. Built a couple carbureted cars and trucks in the early 2000's but haven't been in the scene for a while. Beginning this journey has been definitely an eye opening experience, ive done enough homework to realize that i know nothing...

Good morning,
I am a long-time hobby mechanic and am now exploring the world of tuning, mostly because of my son's 97 K1500 and my interest in LS engines. I did a 0411 PCM conversion on his truck and now want to learn how to improve the tune because I hate relying on someone else to do the work.
Thanks for allowing me to join.
