My name is Nic; I worked as a Ford technician from 91-2007, and built Mustangs on the side. I operate a Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno at a shop that specializes in building custom engines. We also have a Superflow 901 engine dyno. I am a Ford nut, but enjoy wrenching on anything. I also write tech articles for magazines as well as photograph for them.
I am new at ECM hacking, and am about to build my first program for a supercharged Mustang. Wish me luck!

I have a 2002 Chevy Avalanche with some HD transmission upgrades. The Engine is basically untouched with any heavy mods. Got the exhaust, heads, intake and simple stuff like that.
Been here for some time but never had the time to get into this program. Just got the basic tune to eliminate the TM and adjust the retard for when I run NOS (100 shot).
Let the fun begin.

Hi, my name is Jason. I have been a member on here for a while, but i am just now getting around to needing some help that i can't find with "search". Just thought i would post in here before i went posting in other sections.

Sorry for the duplicate post. I just saw this after my first post here. Hope to get familiar with the basics of tuning. I still have to get sofware and PCM. Recomendations are appreciated. I prefer the PCMs that interface with the laptop but a good handheld is also not out of the question for field support.

Hello HPTuner experts!
My name is Roger, I have a 2001 Silverado with a Magnacharged 5.3, cam & valvetrain mods, and typical transmission mods. My PCM was tuned by Nelson, and is working well. The first thing I'll be looking to do is fine-tune the transmission shifting. Lots of reading ahead....
Thanks in advance for all the help I'll be recieving.

i have a 98 Camaro ULTRA Z with a 348ci LS1 with AFR 205cc heads fast 90/90 with lots of goodies oh and a dirct port nitrous kit with a dedicated fuel system HUGE nitrous cam to go with my nitrous spec forged coated pistons  i'll post the specs up after i look at the cam card again its hard to remember lol 11.2 @ 119 with a 1.60 short time to date without a tune my stall is tight so it will pull harder on spray and i have dropped over 150lbs off the car since that pass this car also has lots of BMR stuff
also a 02 formula NHRA car stock shortblock and stock heads just cam, kit, ported stock TB, full exhaust, and lots of BMR products it gets drivin back and forth from philadelphia Ms. ( my hometown) to houston Tx. every month (11hrs.) and gets 26-28mph depending on varables and runs the 1320 in 11.3 @ 125MPH with a 1.7 short time my best short times in this car was 1.50s 3 of them back to back but i was not at a 1/4 track i was at a 1/8 track with a 250lb passenger and low low bottle presssure so i need to take it to the track to justify a 11.1 or 11.0 :D

Howdy! My names Ryan, or Hawk as everyone calls me (short for my last name), and I am a food broker. I sell dead critters in a box.
I'm another newb here- entirely new to vcm tuning. My experience has been tweaking some OBD1 FI using tps voltage and fuel pressure, otherwise tweaking carbs, building/rebuilding engines, suspensions, and basic tranny mods like converters, hydraulic shift kits, servos, etc. I have an 86 Z28 that is built nicely IMHO, but at the end of the day it's "just a 312".....for now!
I purchased my HPT from Greg (Airtruck), and plan on eliminating TM and firming the shifts on my 2005 Colorado Z85 LS, and our 2002 Trailblazer LTZ. I'd like to tune the Collie for better MPG- I drive it about 50k/year, and already have done Ram Air/K&N, Black Magic 180, Vette Servo, Gutted Cat, and MBRP. We'll see what I can learn to do. I've been reading a LOT, and have been impressed with how helpful everyone is- even with dumb/newb questions.

New to HP Tuners
Hi all. I have a 1977 El Camino with an LS1. Most people ask why, but it's different. Engine is from a 98 Firebird with a 4L60E, cam is a comp cams, ls6 intake, Hooker long tubes, 4:10 rear gears. Wiring harness is a painless unit. Just started to tune this car and it seems like the idle is the biggest challenge. I am an ASE master tech but now work as a used car manager at a Chevy Buick dealership. The weather in northern Ohio is finally ready to get the toys out and drive.

Marco here, currently Technician for MAZDA & KIA (by day) :D , but at night :secret: i lurk the streets of RGV to install performance parts, accessories, maintenance, and learning to tune. Just attended the Tuning School at Dallas (I had a blast), former WyoTech grad., looking toward to learn more about tuning and more modifications as i go.

Hey all
I've been a mechanic since '89. Took programming classes in college 2 years is C++ and VB6.0. I've played with radio shack crap like etching my own circuit boards making freq generators out of 555's. But I basically don't know squat, so if anyone should feel inclined to point me in the right direction I'd certainly appreciate it.
I need to hack and tinker in my 2005 Lotus Elise's lil brain. I need to make adjustments for larger MAF I.D. and exhaust mods, change my VANOS param etc.

Whats up all you HP Tuning peps! I'm currently awaiting the release of the dodge stuff. I have a 2000 Dodge Ram with a 408 stroker motor sitting on the engine stand. I have SCT right now and not really happy with them, I have heard many great thing from GM guys that run HP Tuners. I'm looking forward to it!!!

Hi Gents,
Quick intro. I'm from Flyin' Miata out in Palisade, CO. Why would I be here? Because we're putting LSx engines into the Miatas and just learning HP Tuners on our own test mule, which is an 02 Miata with 02 LS1 from a Firebird, T56, Caddy CTS diff. I've been working with aftermarket ecus for a long time, but this GM stuff is all new to me. So far the software looks great. I do have a stumper, but I'll post it where it belongs.

Hello quick intro. I'm a Marine stationed in Jacksonville NC. I've got a 2006 Pontiac GTO. I pulled the motor she now has a 6.0 ironblock, forged internals, twin turbos and a return style fuel system. Car was featured in July High Performance Pontiac Magazine. I can do everything but tune now I'm going to learn how to cover that base as well.
