Hello, my name is Josh, and I just got Hp tuners about a month ago. I've been reading as many posts on here as I can to learn about this powerful tuning system. I'm totally new to the tuning world, but I've been a GM mechanic for about 12 years. The nuts and bolts side of performance tuning is basic to me (even the OBDII electronics I'm familiar with), but the in-depth programming parameters on here seem mind boggling. I bought Greg Banish's DVD "Calibrated Success" which is helping greatly, but I still feel overwhelmed. I have a 2010 Camaro with an Ls3 6spd manual that I want to install a Comp Cams Lsr 219* - 227* .607.614 lift camshaft with basically no other mods. Even with a "small" cam like this I have read so many other threads with people having problems tuning for even a cam of this size. I hope to learn as much as I can from the helpful folks on here, including Bill from Hp tuners. Thanks in advance for any help I can get!

Hello all, my name name is Don, aged 45 and to most of you maybe am an old guy? I have been a mechanic for around 30 years working on a variety of vehicles throughout my time. I have an Automotive Repair & Performance Business in the city where i live. I mainly specialise in building, tuning, blown, nitrous, carbed and alchohol injected engines. Conversions etc, for many a client, but in the last 12 months the performance side of my industry has turned to this ECU / PCM tuning and due to this have purchased a MPVI Pro Tuner some time back. I've had no training as yet and have looked, read and checked what you guys do? Allow me to say thanks for sharing your advice, suggestions and files as this is great learning for an old bloke like me.

Hello gang, names Neal, been around cars for over 35 years. I have never tuned before but I can't wait to learn. I'm from old school so maybe I can learn fast. My racing engine background started building racing engines for dirt circle track then moved up to the early NASCAR try racing engines. I was not like it is today, much less restrictive in the rules. I did this for 15 years then got out of racing completely. Bought another Vette 5 years ago and just could not stand it anymore without modding it. Decided to start learning about the LS1 and I'm hooked. What a great engine platform GM designed. The more I learned the more I realized I'm going to have to learn the tuning side so here I am with my HPT Pro ready to learn and start having fun.

Hello. My name is Dale Pulde. My Girlfriend is Valerie Harrell, The daughter of the late Dick Harrell, who built some of the most noted 1st Gen Camaros on the planet. I became involved with the last of the 02 Camaros bought by Berger Chevrolet and built by GMMG in Georgia Dick Harrell edition cars. We have had Valeries PR1 Camaro out here for a few years. I hate to say it but I was never happy with the way it ran. Not overall power just its street manners. If it were a blown Nitro drag car i would have been at home DTS changed it all with an HP tuner. Thank You Dale Pulde wareagleracing.com

I went to school for automotive engineering, and worked for toyota/ ford dealerships as a main diag tech for 2 years. I left being a tech because of money issues and went to work at geek squad being a agent for them. Love the job. Ive tuned my balt about 30 times now, a silverado, and next will bea 2007 ss balt s/c. My car with meth and a tune ran 8.9s in the eigth. Now my car has 2.6 pulley, ported blower, and also my supersharger main ports and silencer holes are both cut together and ported them together so they look good lol. I have 60s, intake, exaust, spec 3 clutch, new motor. jet maf sensor, new front bumper and head lights lol. SOME Numnut hit me. LSD, no more meth, s3 heat exchanger, and the tune i made for my car. First timer
Hello gang, I have always worked on my own vehicles and continue to do so. I am very interested in controlling my own destiny and that is why I purchased the program. Never programmed once. I purchased an 09 G8 GT and know the car has huge potential for daily and race driven applications.
What I hope to learn from those accomplished programmers is what works best for the needs. I am starting out slow and would just like to change timing, shift points (love that second and third gear rubber mark) and torque management. If someone would like to give me some simple tips all are welcome. I look forward to corresponding.
Peace:cheers:

Ballagh
Hey, my name is Garet, I've had hp tuners for about a year and a half now, but never have posted anything, I have played around with it a little here and there, but I am still far from being an expert, but I do know just enough to get myself into trouble. I did go to automotive school, but after graduation decided on another profession, but I almost always have 1 or more side jobs going on each weekend, so I am very familiar with vehicles from a mechanical perspective, but not from a tuning perspective.

Howdy, I am Matt. I am not truely into tuning cars (yet). But when I purchased my first OBDII vehicle a year ago, (a '99 Saturn) I decided to see what makes these things tick. I did some research and finally got around to just getting an ECU from a similar Saturn in a junkyard. Since October when I got it, I have pulled the flash, and dissasembled most of the code (after building a converter to straighten out the scrambled address lines, that one took a few days :) ). I then built a small program to extract the seed/key pair. and soon I will be going at the ECM with a logic analyzer to see what it is thinking. If all goes well with that I have the ABS module and a few others to figure out.
The bad thing for me is other than a COTS like a megasquirt, nobody seems to actually tune the original ECM for those cars. The good thing for me is I have a degree in electronics and 34 some odd years of experiance going back to when I was a kid messing arround with machine code on a Commodore 64.

G'day evry one,
My name's Steven. I'm just a hobby tuner. I have been into cars since a teen and always like tuning cause that's what makes everything work together. I got into efi tuning on my gm-holden cause I put together old 253 carbied engines that went better or same as my ls1 did before I got into her secret ways.

Hey, I'm Jeremy, I haven't bought HPTuners yet, but I plan to hopefully. Haven't done any tuning before so I will bugging you guys a lot when I start. LOL!!!

Hello,
My name is Murphy. I'm a retired salvage yard owner. I love to tinker with old GM cars. I recently modified my 1967 Firebird with a 6.0 out of a 2004 Escalade. I put a T56 behind it. I have had some real sucess with it. Just cant seem to get all the bugs out.
I have been reading the post here and I am amazed at all the talented folks.
The forum has been really helpfull.
My lack of knowledge on tuning has really cost me $$.
I am humbled by the ones that have excelled at it. I will keep trying and maybe It will finally work.

Hello,
My name is Stan. I just purchased HP Tuners Pro with a wideband to tune my 2006 GTO and 2007 Silverado. I have been using a Predator tuner and am looking forward to learning HP Tuners.

Hi, I am new and I have some questions for any one who might be able to help. Is there a way to make the padles more responsive.

What's up..I'm all over LS1Tech and I'm buying HP Tuners Pro soon, so I figured I would get on here and look up some useful info. :)
