I'm looking to do 411 swap but can only find 5.3 silverado ECM at local yard they keep saying there interchangeable what's the best route to get the express van tune onto the silverado ECM thanks
all of the 0411 are the same. The van calibration has the same OS as a Vette or a Astro van. You need a truck calibration for a truck and a van calibration for a van. You need an S10 calibration in an S10. If you put a van calibration in a Camaro you have issues.
I. Don't mean to ask stupid ? But just so I under stand. Correctly use the truck ECM an copy past the values for the van engine sence it's a 5.3 going to a 97 5.7 I'm doing the 411 swap in a 97 silverado
I would not use the van calibration at all. The van calibration would be all wrong and you would need to do a bunch of work arounds to fix/patch it up to work in a truck.
I would use a 5.7L 0411 out of a truck and be done with it.
They don't make any 5.7 411 in a truck that's the problem they say to use 01-02 express van braise it uses the same 5.7 vortec an 4l60e an uses a 411 ECM but if u no were I can get a stock 411 with a 5.7 I'm Intrested then I an start re pinning thanks

GMT-400 was built from 1988 to 2006 --> YES 2006, but they did not have 5.7 in them in 2006 they had 8.1L and they were 15,000 lbs trucks. Mexico Only
The 2004 GMT -400 used the 8.1L and the 2004 Chevy NPR used the Gen III engine. The NPR is the Izusu tilt cab. The landscaper vehicle of choise
In 2003 the NPR used the 5.7L with an 0411. The GMT-400 had an 8.1L
In 2002 to NPR had the 5.7L and the GMT-400 had the 8.1L or the 6.5L ---> yes they still used the 6.5L in Mexico in 2002.
use a express van tune or gmc savanna tune for the 96-99 vortec trucks with a 5.7L. You 4wd low will not up shift but other then that its a simple swap.
calediter could you add 4wd ratio tables to a gmc savanna file?

As far as a 0411 swap in on a 5.0 or 5.7L GMT-400 you could use a 4.3L calibration and build it out. That would take just a few minutes to do.

hi. just wanna ask a noob question:
i have a L29 from a 1996 silverado in my 66' impala, just bought an 0411 last night after cracking the sads with the haltech i was trying to get working, currently hunting down a loom, and eyeing off HPtuner suite.
my question is, will the LS1 tune thats currently on it (its from a 01' commodore) start/idle straight out of the packet? my main concern is with additional hookups which will no longer be present, i.e. the trans now is T700, not 4L60E. the evap loss system isnt present, no knock sensors, no egr, i believe there is a reed switch on commodores for security which isnt present, the only sensors which i am using are:
IAT
MAF
coolant temp
TPS
IAC
CKP
CAS (on the dizzy)
O2 (x2)
VSS
i also skimmed a thread where someone had issues with alternator (generator) throwing a code due to it not being fed into the 0411. (which mine wont be)

anyway i got my answer, which is a big fat NO. i kinda forgot about the whole 24x and 4x reluctor thing. so im off to pickup HPytuners today from my local dealer.
just to make a noobs life easier, anyone got a copy of a 1996 express base tune?
thought you were using a 411 , if the us is the same i have a pinout exel file
yeah im using a 0411 from a 2001 commodore. pinouts vary for the coil as savanna/express/my engine are single coil>dizzy>4x reluctor and the 0411 is coil on plug with 24 tooth.
got the coil wire sussed though, just need a base tune file, then wire it all up.
my quest continues!!! :D

how about an older silverado or suburban file , if i remember right they started the 8 coil pack deal in 04 or 05
mate. i'd be happy with any tune that gets the engine turning on its own steam.

long story short, found some tunes. will look into loading them tonight :D

open your ve table and hit the help section there are tutorials for anything you need
