Yeah it's tax refund time! I really want to spend it on an unlock for my Cruze...
Those "other guys" just dumped out 2012 1.4T support. Make it rain on me Bill & Chris!
Any update?
getting there, i'm trying to make sure everything is there first time around so we don't have to revisit stuff.
Chris...
If you were to ask him a couple of weeks ago he probably would've said last week ;)
Bottom line is he's working as fast as he can without trying to miss anything, everybody here will be the first to know(well, other than myself that is).
:D
...
...
Still working on the master def
Just another follow up, I have several people that would like a tune. Should I tell them one week? One month? 6 months?
i would say 1 month.
Minus one interested, got rid of the Sonic and bought an Audi.
*sigh* ... I hope this doesn't turn out like the Dodge guys.
Sorry man .. but I'm loosing hope, but not interest.
i'm working on this pretty much 100% everyday.
The E39 and E78 are a major code upgrade for GM, the throttle and a few other things like DFCO, Idle, turbo, supercharger controls etc. are all completely torque based, so there are new parameters and also changes to many of the old. Then there's the DI stuff and new fuel pump code and a general change of most things moving to floating point based calculations. There are a lot of extra params for the scanner and other things.
Unlike Dodge, none of this work is dependant on 2.24 release, so when i'm done, it's ready for release.
Chris...
That's a little more comforting. I'm still hopeful, but getting tired of waiting.
Same.
Not to dig at the company itself but I don't see a lot of forward thinking around here, seems like everything is reactive to demand and/or customer requests which is a play it safe method at the same time it creates these huge lag times in development once enough interest is gauged. This car has been around for 2+ years now and still no support...on an ECOTEC platform, really? May sound a bit crass here but I just think you guys could do a lot better, even extending to the GUI VCM scanner level. Being an electronics engineer myself I see a ton of minor things that could make the software product so much better.
No - I'm not looking for a job! Just one guys opinion
Is HPT just a lot smaller company than the other guys (ie. less people, etc)?
i'm currently investigating if the Sonic 1.4t will be available out here, if not i'm buying a Cruze 1.4t to have some fun with :)
