i ran the stock dwell to about 2000 then blended to about 3600 and went all out there up. so around town isnt testing the limits but WOT is.
so has anyone figured out a way to log this or is there? if not should we ask to have it added?
to log what? dwell? I dont really see a need to log it?
to make sure its not being over done to make sure it is doing what we think we are comanding it to do. and just to get a gneral idea of what its doing.
I will put $10 on dyno runs.
Mike give me paypal addy!
I will try to set something up, I have to get this guys number. There are a few of us that want to get on the dyno.

Well I thought I was going to get something done this weekend but that didnt work. I am going to try to get to the dyno again to get a baseline before I mill the heads and port the intake, so hopefully I will have something in the next few weeks.
Someone on this site has to be within pencil throwing distance of a dyno.
I have 2 right here, just need the time and need to find the price :)
I'm at one of 2 different local dyno's all the time...but I never have enough time to experiment on things like the spark dwell...
usually its Just 3 puls casue its $50 for 3 pulls or $100 for an hour for me...and teh customer usually wants to go the cheaper route :(
Could you guys post screenshots of you spark dwell tables? I am curious if I have mine good enough.
I've been reading this thread early this morning, and decided to try a few things. Of course, I didn't get wild with it, but this surprised me. I upped my VE table's values by 10%, and spark dwell by 2 from 10 - 18V up to 6800rpm. I logged some runs yesterday, and noted a 0 - 60 mph time of 8.1s. Today.... 6.6s. Fluke or what?
Log file attached. Got a bit more tuning to do, but it's not bad for my setup (see sig).
i tried it on my car last night when i was tuning in the new cam 222/224/112 cam, made 0 difference to peak HP, i only went up to 8ms tho
so you saw no difference in increasing the values? anywhere?Quote:

on a forced induction or high comp car it will make a difference espically if you are on the edge of blowing out the spark
Ttt,,,
WS6FirebirdTA00 - give me a pic of yours :)
Ive tested this on two cars now, no difference in power at all.
OK, thanks. :)Quote:
