Hate to barge in, just an update to my earlier post. Finally got all my monitors to set...in particular the dreaded O2 and heated 02. Long story short, had to return my CJ intake, throttle body and CAI to stock and reload stock tune. I still had shorty headers, stock cats, upgraded mid pipe and roush over axels. After returning to stock drove about 100 miles, three full key cycles, and still couldn’t get the two O2s to set. So took off the mid pipe and returned that to stock also, drove another 20 miles....BINGO..they set.
You hear about the war stories trying to fix this issue, how about this one....this started in September of last year, so a year ago though drove about 9 months (up in the Northeast so none for three months in winter) , a solid 3000 miles of dedicated driving focused on getting them to set, 9 tune revisions with two different tuners, about 20 submitted data logs, at least $1k in additional costs...and I’ve for the most part I am back to a stock car! (still have the shorty headers and roush axle backs).
The car still runs and sounds great...so I am just happy as all heck this nightmare is over. Let me know if anyone wants a great deal on a slightly used but in perfect condition CJ manifold, FRP oval TB, JLT CAI, JBA H mid pipe, and JBA high flow cats.
