Very true--I like that a lot too. I don't know how many people use the standalone logging feature but this def. makes the standard interface more attractive IMO.

I bought the pro for stand alone, but then quickly found out it was limited to ~18minutes, and if you dont stop it before it runs out of space, it corrupts the log. Then, for a long time analog inputs never worked, then since 3.0 I cant just throw my channels list in it and go. It wont work. So I'd tell everyone to save money and get the standard, and AEM CAN WB.
Yeah, I found the same limits on log length--I don't know if V3 changed anything on that, but I know it seems to fill up real quick every time I've tried to use it recently. I use the MPVI inputs for wideband, fuel pressure and methanol pressure, but honestly could get by just fine with just the WB
Called AEM again today for 0333 and still under testing, not available.
Keep on their case about it. I know they are there. :)
Keep on bugging them!
Just another confirmation that the dashlogic support for the those PIDs isn't working for me. Hopefully they get that figured out as that would be awesome to complete the stealth install.
Does it show anything or just 0's? I need to let them know what it's doing
Looks like it is finally a real thing :) http://www.aemelectronics.com/?q=pro...and-uego-OBDII
Thanks to all the beta testers !
They certainly didn't hesitate on jacking the price up, lol
Any idea if they're coming out with an inline version? I'd order one of those now. It's pretty neat how they have settings for different addresses, etc. on the gauge version.
On the 30-0310, I think they will wait and see how popular the gauge version is. The inline is a little riskier, because of the auto-config setup. i.e. with no user interface, there is just a one-button "push and pray" :)
On the price, yeah :) I guess they have no idea how many of these things they will sell. So, they try to cover their outlays for the custom cables, etc.
Once the other manufacturers pick up the same OBDII technology, I'm pretty sure the premium will come down :)
That beta turned out to be a pretty good deal
The new Serial interface does the same thing for all that already have AEM, Innovate and PLX wb's. For others, submit to support the serial specifications of your WB and Keith and the crew will get them inserted. Remember the Pro also supports "Black Box Logging" but now the WB effects are resolved :-) I am one who 10 years ago was a cheapy and bought the Standard...

The serial interface on the AEM is only 100ms poling time. It is also, limited to 3 digits of precision. The data can also be time skewed, vs. the other data, due to taking a different path through Window.
So, for the 30-0300, at least, you would get better data, using the analog 0-5v interface ( which has ground offset compensation ).
Or, spring for the 30-0333 :)
Yeah, figured they must have been making sure they came out good with that price... I was going to order the inline one from Amazon real quick and donate some money to the dr.mike beer fund but never got around to it.
I certainly hope other manufactures/gauges adopt similar setups.
There is, really, no excuse for them not to. :cool:Quote:

They are now orderable, put my order in last night. :-)
Now what am I going to do with my NGK/NTK?
Burn it
Just kidding
add a hole to your pipe and run both to compare. I almost did this, but didnt. lol My NGK is sitting on my garage floor under some garbage. I look back at the logs and how slow/averaged the data is and I throw up a bit.
I do see very smooth lines during a scan though from the 30-0300, then after I stop and view data, the line is now very spikey, almost as there is smoothing applied just for the graph while scanning. I would really like an option in HPT to smooth the line in the graph after the fact to make it look like the line during the scan.. is this possible?
I just saw the 30-0333 on amazon.com for $233. Seems more reasonable :)Quote:
