5.7 as in L31/other SBC or 5.7 as in LS1 or bored out 5.3?
That VE is a fantasy. It a table intentionally set up to be an eye-pleasing shape and there is no way in hell that VE came from any data collected during any kind of 'tuning' process.
No injector data? Only the flow rate's been changed from stock '00 LM7. Literally every piece of math the PCM does references the injector data in some way. It is the foundation everything else is built on. If that is wrong everything else will be wrong, I'm not looking at anything beyond that.
welp it changed on my screen. it did have a window that said post. its not there no more.
its a bore out iron lm7 block, aluminum is over rated in my opinion. if i had a 6.0 block i would bored it out to 6.2, at that time is all i had. but did build a 6. 0 to 6.2 but sold it for more than what i had in it. so i just kept my 5.7. the injectors i have are ev14 in A tbss intake. im kind new to this hptuners and tried to find more info on the injector data, trying to learn this stuff, i had decapped truck injectors like what matt has on sloppy mechanic site. i did have keith at pcmforless out of ohio do my first tune about 5 years ago, just trying to learn this stuff. thanks for any info.
You "had" decapped injectors or have decapped injectors? Ev14 isn't enough of a description for anyone to help you get data. Part number and manufacturer or at least a link to where you bought them. But it sounds like you probably have injectors that don't have enough data to properly tune. At least as a beginning tuner.
where would one get said data for set (280 158 227) br3e-eb fomoco b556v bosch ev14 ? all i did was change the flow rate to get the truck running. i have no ideal where to find the data.
its to big really but all i have for the moment. i got the setting off sloppy mechanic, for the map.
i had a mail order tune done 5 years ago pcmforless out of ohio, keith did me a very good job. for the price. im not knocking him at all. just wanted to learn more. still learning. if i knew where to get the injector data from it would probably repair alot of my issues which is not much. i had changed my injectors from decapped to these ev14 non decapped. cause you cant for one and just not gonna do that for another.
Best advice i can give find a set of injectors that already has data available in GM Gen III format. Such as the 12576341, listed as 42lb with direct drop in Gen III data.
#1. That ve table is in no way correct. #2. Dont trust sloppy mechanics or use any of their advice, info, products.
yes i understand thatthe ve is not right, thats why im asking for the injector data, they was a used set of injectors that i got of market place, no data. as far as matt from sloppy mechanic i listen to him from time to time. as i listen to everyone. yes i did run decapped truck injector on my build for along time and had really no issues. out of them. i just switced to a tbss intake and couldnt get the truck injectors to work out. is why i went to the bosch longer injectors. trying o get the ve right but people telling me to get the right data for a ev14 injector i cant find the data.
To get correct injector data you either need to use good injectors with known good data, I.E. stock injectors that you can get the data from another tune that used them from the factory. You can order from a good reputable injector dealer that will send you the data you need with the new injectors. Or you can send yours off to someone who collects that data with an expensive machine and theyll send you the data and the injectors back.
Holley and all the after market companies do not supply this data. You want data for them, send the injectors in to someone who does that. Otherwise, the easiest option is to get a larger injector from a stock setup and use that data or alter it based on fuel pressure changes such as an installed corvette regulator on a system that was originally vacuum regulated. Or if its a GEN4 tune file and needs the data changed over to a GEN3 with an excel file. Most of the data for almost every injector we deal with on here is in the "injector data repository" thread, BTW.
Also, EV14 is not an injector type or number, its the type of connector on the injector. For anyone on here to help you at all we need the actual part number on those injectors, which i believe was already mentioned in this thread....
This is what your injectors come back as from a quick google search... https://www.ebay.com/itm/144491252671 2001-2017 mustang injectors. Ford does not use the same injector data as GM and you cant just pull the "data" from their file. Also as mentioned before, these are probly not going to have any usable data to be found on here. Youll need to send them off and have data collected based on the PCM youre using.
What you paid for the mystery injectors plus what it would cost to have someone put them on a real test bench and generate all the characterization data is almost certainly more money than if you just dropped those in the trash and bought quality, universal injectors that come with all the data in the right format in the first place.
This is not anything to do with a flow bench, it's measuring how the injector reacts through the entire pulse width range. A flow bench can only test the flow rate, and that's only one of the four tables you need, and the least important of the four by far.
a bud thanks for the os i used the injector data and few other things in this thing. it really likes it. thanks man. and i want to thank the oter people trying to help too. im no expert for sure. guess thats why im in here lol. but anyway i want to thank you guys. she likes it.
Hang on did you replace the injectors or just use the data from the os that twenglish1 suggested ??
This has been done and discussed before, unsure of what the final outcome was?

I was definitely not saying to just use that data without swapping injectors, i was recommending swapping to those i listed as they are similar to the ones you have with full data available, sorry if there was confusion!
No confusion here at all, was a good suggestion but I think the OP missed the point and just used the data which hasn’t achieved anything.
