Is HPT able to tune the Chevy Cruze 1.4T engine? If so, is it an all access pass? Are there any limitations?
We actually need to source one of these pcm's for a couple of weeks, if you are willing to send us your pcm for some testing in exchange for some product shoot me an email to bill at hptuners.com :D
While I can't send you the PCM, I am going to have access to a Cruze PCM. Is there anything I can do to help?
Without the pcm we cannot do much.
Just wondering if you have scrounged up a PCM of the Cruze as of yet?
I thought of contacting you on this subject a while ago Bill, but are there any other pcm's you want to get a hold of. Most of us love you guys:D and at least a few techs might be able to help provide 100% legitamite, not stolen pcm's. "If you list them, they will come"... Hopefully!
Yeah we sourced one and will start working on it shortly.
are you guys gonna do a 1.8 tune aswell
so it will never happen no tune for the 1.8 correct
I would need to see what pcm they are using...do you have a pic of one?
umm whrs the pcm at i can get u a pic of one
Just talked to Bill about the 1.8L cruze and it will not be supported any time soon.
GM part number is 12636386 and in the following,
2011 Cadillac SRX Premium Turbo (2.8L Turbo / LP9)
2010 Cadillac SRX Premium Turbo (2.8L Turbo / LP9)
2011 Chevrolet Aveo (1.6L / LXV or LXT)
2010 Chevrolet Aveo (1.6L / LXV or LXT)
2009 Chevrolet Aveo (1.6L / LXV or LXT)
2011 Chevrolet Cruze (1.8L / LUW)
oo its in alot of newer cars,or is the 1.8 just not good enough
Oh no they need to figure this out. I plan on buying a sonic z-spec with the 1.4turbo and I want to tune it. I want another pocket rocket.
It would be nice I know of some Aveo guys that want a tune.
I just got a 2011 Cruze Eco 1.4L Turbo 6 speed manual. It's ready for a tune!
Tuning the 1.4 turbo cruse would be awesome! I was looking into this myself recently...... due to fuel prices. I've seen some dyno results from the cruse in America........ dunno what they used to tune it but gains were up around 60hpatw average with a massive improvement in torque across the entire range due to opening the throttle more.
When will tuning capability be ready for the 1.4T Cruze?
Cruze tuning will be greatly needed.
Bill,
Wanted to see if you had a beta that would read the Cruze PCM available. I have one in my garage this week and didn't know if you wanted the read from the PCM.
Let me know!
my brother has a cruze 1.4 turbo and i would love to work on this thing
Any updates on this?
Are you guys actually going to release support for the Cruze 1.4L soon or do I need to go with one of your competitors?
Just another vote for 1.4T tuning now that I own a Sonic :) if theres anything data I can provide, let me know.
another vote for sonic 1.4 turbo support
why not just swap the computer for a better supported one?
Any updates on this? When a tune costs you $350 from Trifecta, I'd rather buy HPTuners and do it myself for not a whole lot more.
Considering this was the 9th best selling car in the US last year...
Bump for an update?
We'll likely be testing a few things late next month on these. No eta as to when we'll be doing any public testing.
:yay:
Can't even put an intake on the Sonic without getting a CEL (P1101) ..... must have MAF comp tuning ability! Amoungst many other things :) I'll be waiting with baited breath on testing news.
well gimpster i have never used hp tuners before, so when we get support i know who im gonna be bugging about teaching me to tune the sonic lol. My tuning knowledge is limited to oversized injectors on an apexi controller and doing timing with a distributer lol, oh and boost with a 10 dollar controller. Yes things have changed lol.
Plus 1 for the 1.4 turbo, just picked up an eco and this little thing has the same 0-60 and 1/4 mile times that my 1983 porsche had already, very interested in picking up 30-40 more HP and having some fun
Another request for 2012 Cruze tuning capabilities!
chris is testing the new read bootloader as I type this.
I see tons of dreamers wanting to turbocharge their 1.8's, but .... you know how that goes.
testing was successful today, reading and writing seems to be working for the E78 ECM, so should be able to start reading and sending in files soon.
Will update you which beta release provide support.
Hopefully i'll get the E83 ECM working tomorrow.
Chris...
