trouble reading 2006 silverado 2wd pcm even after dealer reflash to stock

i had trouble downloading a Silverado SS stock tune file for a friend, we figured it was tuner locked, so i gave the pcm to a friend at a dealer to flash the computer back to stock for that VIN

he flashed it back to stock and i still have trouble reading it

looks like the pcm is tunerlocked to be honest.

ugh, anyway to circumvent this. i dont care to look at a stock silverado tune haha i wish i could bulldoze it
will i be left buying a new PCM and having it flashed with his vin basically

Use IDApro or hexplorer to unlock it, if you know how to do dissambly that is.

If it was tuner locked, I'm positive that even a Tech II can't flash it back to stock. I would try reading it in low speed. Had the same issue with a 2000 Corvette several years ago. After reading in low speed, I was able to flash it in high speed.

This is now my VIN... VCM OS is an updated version of the one listed here.
I need to flash the 12606807 OS over the 12613246 OS that is on the VCM now. Can I complete this with a slow write?
