I am having an issue with my scanner not wanting to resync. I was getting the error message yesterday saying "failed to determine the engine diagnostics protocol" when trying to connect to a vehicle so I unistalled the VCM Suite and reinstalled the newer version. Now I am getting the "failed to write data to interface" and my host light is red. Any ideas?
I have that issue if i dont close out the scanner VCM. Have to hit the disconnect tab.
Sounds right. The vehicle battery died while I was distracted hence the problem. Now I don't have the disconnect option....
so how do we get it to act right now?
The issue they are describing, its remedied by turning the scanner off completely and restarting it. If that doesnt fix it, contact support, they can help with more pressing issues
