How does one log Pressure Ratio?
boost/baro, make a user defined PID
Been putzing some more today... i think i got NLS working for us manual guys. however im not certain which actual setting is what made it work or the combo... however here is what i did.
Fuel tab, Cutoff/dfco, left scroll bar, i changed manual gear type to "NV" which probably really didnt need to change but it ignores the clutch pedal switch as defining "neutral" anymore.
scroll down some more. Control method - use predicted torque set to disable, and immediate torque type then set to max range.
Then moved NLS enable tps from 125% to 83% and went out testing.
Now its pretty damn warm out again right now, so my timing looks a little low because of having the iat take it away. But attached is a log to see that NLS is working and indeed no longer dumping boost. I was a jack ass and backed my foot off the loud pedal for a split sec from the jolt into 3rd gear, but it does seem to work well!
I just purchased a new '12 Cruze. Looking forward to getting it tuned in. Thanks for the great info.
I come from tuning s/c 3.8s so this will be slightly new.
Welcome fellow wisconsin citizen!
i cant wait till next weekend i should have a Cruze to tune thanks to all for imput once i play with this car ill have a little imput of things i find
I am reading the help info on E78 tuning. Trying to see how you cabibrate the throttle position as it reads only 84% WOT and it reads that high even at 40-50% throttle. Idle is 20%.
Below is a table I have modified a bit to get better throttle response and take some TM away. I started by multiplying 10% at a time.

please be careful modifying this table, especially in the low pedal/mph areas.
Please log the Desired ETC Position % and ETC Position %, not the TPS (SAE) PID. The TPS SAE PID is the % of 5V, which is not necessarily the same as WOT.
I think what Chris is trying to say is these tables can result in you not having control over what the ETC is doing if you modify these tables ie throttle still going while you're holding down the brakes ;)
Well I tried it out in a parking lot first. And it did accurate without hitting the gas when first doing a trial n error. No biggie just shut the car off at 5mph. Then modified it more to see hitting the gas no reaction when zero'd out. I have tweaked this down some since this pic. I raised it about 30% which this pic shows much more.
Just a couple more noob questions...
1. Wondering what I am doing wrong to read the LTFTs. They read fine on Gauge display but not the histogram.
2. The boost graph I made doesn't seem accurate.

you need to delete the bank 2 PIDs, the histograms average the two.
Also looks like you are measuring absolute pressure on your boost pid. You need to subtract atmospheric from that.
Watch the lnf guides videos for custom histograms should help you out. U can find the link In my sig
Newest beta 2.23.707 or newer also adds MPID's for all E78 operating systems.
OoOOoO
I was just reading through this old thread and found this. Is it ok to zero these out?
Wanted to revive this since the Sonic is supported now....and I just bought one. :-)
Anyone have a good starter file for MPG on a sonic turbo I can look at? Nothing in the repository....
PM if you want.
