Any future support??
Well I just added a license to try to read my Yukon. But it errors out on the read.
You dont need to waste a license to be able to read the ecm, this should be made a sticky somewhere.
I was planning on tuning it.
I just noticed that it reads my PCM as a 2008 GMC Envoy with an I6
:wtf:
Ed Please contact support with an infolog while connected to the vehicle along with a screenshot of the error you are receiving.
Thanks,
Bill
Will do
To be frank, you don't want to mess with the Hybrid PCM. It's all torque-based strategy and MUCH more involved than previous models. The engine controller is not the only one you'd have to worry about, and you don't want to even begin to think about messing with the hybrid control module.
Please just save your effort and skip tooning this one. You'll thank me later.
That may be, but I don't plan on throwing $250 away.
Sadly, you already have.
Not until Bill tells me that can't. And if EFILive can do it, I am hoping HPTuners can.
There's another control module for the hybrid system separate from the engine controller. This is the one that's really in charge, with the engine just being a slave system. If EFILive has access to this (and any remote kind of support) I would be seriously surprised.
Call me pessimistic, but toying with hybrids is like opening Pandora's Box. You'll wish you never got into it.
Good advice, I also say stay away from hybrids, you have no idea how complex the calibrations and control systems are in those things.Quote:

The one I worked on today had 31 (yes 31) modules, all with dozens of calibration files each. The sequential programming section that includes ECM, TCM, HCP, EBCM and BECM had 25 system sections with a total of 144 calibration updates! For comparison, the average 5 or 7 year old car might have 4 or 6 modules with a couple system sections and maybe 2 or 3 calibration updates per section. If I took the time to count all the calibration files in all the modules, I would imagine the total would be 250-300 files for the hybrid.
For anyone thinking about tweaking their hybrid, take Greg's advice and don't bother.
So you mean no one that owns a Hybrid can't get it tuned??
TM is killing me.
Any update on this? I have a 08 yukon hybrid in the shop right now and since it had VVT and DOD lifters now bad. Customers wanted to do a full delete and turn all that jazz off. Any thoughts?
this thread is 10 years old lol
Sadly, it never happened with my Escalade.
You can read hybrids out, they are E67A but the table selection is very limited.
Can you at least delete VATS on a hybrid E67A?
