iam just wondering Iam a Mechanic for a farm and we have this dodge that stays offroad that they want me to delete i dont need any power added or anything like that can i just turn off the codes associated with the emissions system without messing with anything else or would that create other problems
Short answer is no. Just turning off the CEL codes does not disable the emissions system. The VCM software does not allow you to disable emissions equipment.
Been mentioned many times on many forums, just turning DTC?s off does not work for deleting emissions equipment for a vehicle. It will be in limp mode.
