Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
When I put in the voltages as Ken posted them, the curve is upside down compared to the little picture Zeitronix has on their website.
http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/V_AFR.jpg
I wonder if that is why my HPT shows 1 AFR point lower than the Zeitronix.
Edit: After thinking about what I just said, I think I'm smoking crack. But my HPT is 1 AFR point lower than what the Zeitronix shows.

I'd like to know how you got this formula to work, when I run this formula on the voltages Zeitronix supplied for their data it does not yield the correct results as defined in Zeit's table.
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
:banghead: You are right.... It seems to be pretty accurate from .015 - 2.5 but when you get above that, its wrong. What doesn't make sense though is this. I made a PID in efilive and compared the values to the actual recorded from the Zeit Dataloger and they are in line with each other.
Code:
afr=0.627*V ^2 + 0.457*V + 9.7758
0.15 9.8584575
0.31 9.9777247
0.46 10.1186932
0.62 10.3001588
0.78 10.5137268
0.93 10.7431023
1.09 11.0188687
1.24 11.3065552
1.40 11.64452
1.56 12.0145872
1.71 12.3906807
1.87 12.8229463
2.02 13.2573508
2.18 13.7518148
2.34 14.2783812
2.50 14.83705
2.65 15.3899575
2.80 15.97108
2.96 16.6220432
3.00 16.7898
3.12 17.3051088
3.27 17.9746383
This is from the formula and as you already know, they don't correspond. The formula posted is DIRECTLY from Zeitronix themselves.
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
I contacted them last night and got a different formula. :) He gave me:
AFR =1.3127*V^2 - 1.2163*V + 10.428
Which is even worse than the one he gave you and when I asked him about it, he said...
"The polynomial is a close approximate. You need to interpolated between the points from the table to get exact AFR/V.
The exact polynomial is x^6. Give me a moment to dig it out for you."
And I haven't heard back from him yet.
I'm starting to think the Zeitronix wasn't the best route to go for a wideband. I don't believe there is anyway a constant formula will produce the curve as shown on Zeit's website, but I'm not the math wiz I wish I could be. :)
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
This is crap. If I didn't already have it mounted and hardwired I would yank it out and get a different one. I sent them another email also this morning. We'll see what kind of answer we can get.
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
Hmmm.. well this is pretty darn confusing..
Can you guys use the user defined list to define the input and see if you can find the formula that is actually correct?
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
this is the reply I just got from Zeitronix.
Quote:
The table has the most accurate values. If you need to know AFR/V points between the ones in the table the best way is to interpolate.
Here is a polynomial you can use between 10 and 14.7 AFR.
LAMBDA = -0.0013V^6 + 0.0116V^5 - 0.0163V^4 - 0.0779V^3 + 0.29V^2 - 0.1994V + 0.7307
AFR= LAMBDA * 14.7
EDIT: this formula still doesn't work right, unless I hooked my zeit up wrong to the hptuners, which is virtually impossible if you follow directions. when I'm sitting at an idle, which averages 14.7 AFR, my voltage averages around 2.15. Zeitronix says 14.7 should be 2.5.
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
That must be some type of auto response email, because I received the same thing. Why is it so hard to get this information. I know they didn't just come up with it out of the blue.
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
Ok, I did what he said and interpolated between the data points provided on his installation sheet. This should be virtually 100% correct, but I can guarantee it won't be unless my Zeitronix starts spitting out 2.5 volts at 14.7 like he claims it should. Mine is more like [email protected] on average. Here is the list.

I have not been able to try this yet, will do later this afternoon.
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
As suspected, the above is wrong. I piped the wideband output to Zeit's user input and logged it. I will have some better numbers soon and will send my data to Zeitronix so he can see for himself he's wrong.
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
I haven't heard complaints from any other Zeit users.. I think 5 or so requested it.. I wonder how they are doing...
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
Good question, where are all you at? Anyone else seeing the wrong numbers in HP Tuners?
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
Again, I know it is no help to you really, but I cross referenced my custom PID in Efi Live to the data logger in Zeit and it works fine. It would be nice though to get this figured out because I have a few buddies that this would benefit from.

So is yours not working correctly with HP Tuners?
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
He doesnt have HPTuners but has a few buddies that do
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
I have the Zeitronix but my car is parked for the winter. Once salt hits the roads, it doesn't come out of the garage again until after a good rain in the spring. I can offer to check my A/F at idle but that's all I can do.
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
Watch22, Badassbird, 2000Firehawk, and anyone else that may have a Zeitronix and the EIO, how is yours working for you now?

Idle would be helpful. :) Did you get a chance to use it before the salt? :)
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
I am having issues right now with the native update as it holds an older revision number than my current. I will get this fixed and report back.
Re: Zeitronix WB Settings in v1.5
I just got my HPTuners last week,
& don't have the Zeitronix update.
Maybe I'll wait until this is figured out,
as I've got I LOT to learn... :-/
