Can "write" but won't "read"...

I have been able in the past to read and write to the PCM, as well as scan, but for some reason when I connect the cable to the car, I can only write, it does not give me a highlighted option to "read".

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
I'll keep poking thru the forum to see if I can find any similar threads.

Just means you have a file open. Click file-close to close the file and you'll be able to read a ecm.

edit-makes sense, now that I remember, I did have a file open when I was trying to read.

I've been bitten by that one a couple of times myself. It would be nice if there was, for example, a tooltip on the "read" button that said "you cannot read with a file open".
