Quick question. I need to know if my rolling idle is correct. I had it dyno tuned by a tuner, but when I'm driving my truck and when I begin braking....it seems like the RPM's are dropping below 750 sometimes causing the engine to shut off. Truck has a LS3 6.2 and TVS2300 Magnuson. Any help would be appreciated.
Yeah, the rolling idle table should be zero on that computer.
I can't believe they tuned that thing without a 2 bar MAP sensor, the computer doesn't have a clue how much boost it's making. I don't agree with some other settings either, they got rid of an safety features that could help save the engine if it needed it.

You can look at the VE table where they just slapped it with a bunch of fuel in the 105kpa to cover their ass instead of tuning it right with a 2 bar OS that allows fueling up to 210kpa or 14-15psi of boost. It's hard to see how good that tune is without a data log and wideband data.

Yeah, that is what I'm saying.
The 1 bar VE table stops at 105kpa, so basically 0psi of boost. If you just stick a large value in the 105kpa cells you are saying that is the fueling you are giving it for 2 psi, 4 psi, 6 psi, 8psi, etc etc. If a 2 bar OS what used along with a 2 bar MAP sensor you could tune each cell above 105kpa. This would be the correct way to do it.
Obviously they did it another way and it's hard to say if the way they did it is working and safe.
This seems like roulette to me. Why would they do this unless it was a drag truck to run only at WOT?Quote:

I definitely wouldn't of mind paying the extra $$$ if needed to be and done right. But it seems like I've been taken for a ride with a bad tune. But I've heard the stories of so called reputable tuners not giving good tunes. Them thinking the customer is not knowledgeable.

If you don't understand why it is being questioned, then the conversation probably wont go well. If the tuner is open to discuss, then maybe he has a good explanation for what was done. Theres SO MUCH WRONG in this tune. Did anyone notice the dynamic air disable set to 4000 RPM? The trans isnt even configured properly for his configuration. Yall should see the dyno video!
I know the person who tuned this PERSONALLY and Im almost ashamed to say it. Im surprised this truck didnt blow up. This is a case when you CAN "BLAME THE TUNER".
