P0106 Map Performance..... HELP

Street rod application, New L96 (6.0) all stock engine with a PSI harness. I have done this same engine combo and cold air intake set-up several times before and have never ran into this problem. It keeps setting a P0106, it will do it pretty much every drive cycle and it sets at low speeds, 4-9mph. Runs and drives normal, map and baro readings look normal. So far we checked the map connector, pin location, ecm connector and pin location. I have new parts on the shelf so its easy to swap parts and just try things..... I have changed the MAP, MAF, Cam sensor, Throttle body, none of this made any difference.

Its my understanding this code sets when the map reading doesnt fall into a predetermined value, based on things like air temp, coolant temp, throttle angle, cam position.

I did a search on here and only found a couple similar issues and seen something about being able to "open up" the map readings or chart. Any help would be great, I havent tuned a lot of these things yet so the more instructions the better.

If all is stock then I would suspect and issue not related to tuning.

You can disable the test/code for this but I would look into it a little further first.

Time to get this fixed for good! when it left 4 months ago (car shows) the code was just set to not turn the light on. when it came back I had P0068, P0101, P0106

I only had a few hours to look at it, couldnt find anything (but still learning what to look for) and changed the engine temp and RPM settings to prevent the tests from running. 50-75 miles later check engine light is on with a P0690 = ECM power relay sense circuit high.

I'm going to attach the tune file, a few log files and also going to post the freeze frame from the new p0690 code.

Tune file and 3 log files. 1 and 2 log is about 5 minutes long. short test drive with a few miles of hwy driving. some cruise, med throttle and one or two WOT. 3 log is just a idling in part with a couple throttle snaps.

Does this engine have a cam of any sort, has the maf been tuned in and do you have any freeze frame data for the 106 code?

For the 690 the ecm didnt see batt voltage present on all circuits when it should have been there - bad solder joints, splices, terminal tension, ecm - things like that - even a bad ground... This can also cause other sensor issues too...

No cam, all stock, new 6.0 L96 crate engine. Cold air intake. exhaust is stock manifolds, no cats, 2.5" Y-pipe into 3" single.
The maf has not been tuned on this truck, fuel trim numbers are a little lean at idle, but not bad when driving. I think they are within 5-10%.
I dont have a freeze frame for the 106, that test doesnt even run anymore. The freeze frame for the p0690 shows the engine isnt even running. maybe it didnt capture the exact time of event?
As the the P0690, I did check the ECM grounds and power supply relay. Voltage drop test was good. I did go ahead and remove the grounds. removed a little heat shrink from the ground terminal rings that was getting pinched in when bolted down. Dont think that was the real issue, was only blocking maybe a 1/3 of the ring. I cleaned those up, moved to new location and installed with new bolt. also removed the power relay, checked and cleaned those terminals and put dielectric grease on terminals.

Another part to this story.....
Very random hard start after sitting for several hours or overnight. will do it in warm or cold weather. Customer says when it acts up it cranks and doesnt even try to fire.
This problem has never acted up anytime I looked at it and everything always tested out good with the fuel system . Well, it acted up tonight. Wouldnt start and after messing with the fuel pump relay, testing signal to it, jumping the relay with test leads it started up. Figured out that I'm loosing supply power to the fuel pump relay in the crank position. It has power in the run position and also as soon as the engine starts, just not during crank.
I'm hoping its an ignition switch problem, but could be a body harness thats not going to work the way its wired for my application.
Could this be the source of my P0690 if the customer would crank the vehicle long enough to get the voltage low?

I dont think this has anything to do with the p0106, P0101, or P0068

Make sure you have MAP signal during cranking.

Update:
So the random hard start issue was a body wiring problem. The Kwik Wire harness comes pre-wired with an electric fuel pump circuit, BUT that is only hot in accessory and run, not crank.....How stupid is that!!! So the fuel pump would never run during crank. Got that changed and all is good with the starting issue.

As for the p0690, I looked through several of my other PSI tunes and that code (along with p0689) are normally turned off. So that solves that problem.

Still cant find the real issue to the 106-101-068 codes and at this point i dont think it matters. The truck has zero drive-ability issues and now that I know the hard start issue was unrelated I'm fine with leaving the altered test parameters to prevent those codes from setting.

What is your KPA reading at idle?

KPA at idle is 29-30
