Is the tuning school beginners class worth the money?

all help appreciated. I'm new to the tuning world and just want to learn how to tune my gen 5 15silverado. from what I can tell from the forums they are a hole other animal. I don't want to waste my money on a beginners class if I would just have to change the way of thinking for the gen5. should I just get the gen5 class or pay a pro tuner to tune my truck and compare to stock tune which I will be doing anyway?

PS if any pro tuner would be interested in email tuning my truck let me know. its stock with Blackhawk CAI, 3in flowmaster exhaust, leveled with 33s,

i have never tuned a gen v before and wanted to know the basics of the vve and torque management of these trucks, purchased the course 3 weeks ago and its money well spent. goes well into depth on how the system works. course is divided up into 3 sections. bolt on tuning,cam shaft tuning, and forced induction tuning. as well as hp scanner and editor basics.

i got the book "printed version".

Ive attended the ford class and I must say I loved it....I will return for all the classes they offer...great guys..

I cannot understand why people make such a difference between schools?! It is the same program and they have very good specialists why do we have to pay extra money for nothing. I know that now we have such stereotypes that if you are learning in a small and not so rich school it is bad. I'm not from a rich family and I know how hard money is made. I didn't follow a rich school but I received the best education and knowledge ever. I have learned how to make money and how to survive, and believe me, you learn if from the hard moments from your life. Now is easier, you can have a look on the internet find this blog themoneymix and learn how to make money or at least to receive a passive income.

Hi guys, I'm considering this one: Ford Level 1 Hands-On Class using HP Tuners. It will be in September, location: Chicago. It costs $1,249.00 now and they say the price will be higher is a few days. It is already quite expensive... But I'm not sure about the money return policy once the class is cancelled due to the new corona outbreak. Would you recommend any alternatives to The Tuning School instead?

I just attended The Tuner School for this class here in FL. It was the best class I've ever attended. I highly recommend it. Well worth the money.

I started using Hptuners back in 2003 or 2004 Ive had a fair amount of experience with the program.

About 4 years ago I bought the hellcat online class. It wasnt bad but there were a lot of things I didnt care for
A year or so later as soon as they offered the dodge class in print, I pre purchased that. I had pretty much learned the "whats" "hows"and "whens" that the book covered, but the books explained the "whys" and went over the "whens" and "hows" to a better extent of what I had learned on my own.
Early last year, I took the classroom course, and while all it really did was go over the book, the instrucors were very good, and definitely covered the "what, when, why and hows" a lot better.
I took the class fairly closed minded as I felt I was fairly experienced and didnt know if Id learn anything I hadnt at least read in the books.

Not only was it a better experience taking the class hands on with an instructor to actually explain the "whys" etc, we used my personal car as the class car, one of the instructors actually sat down with me and explained why we did some of the things the way we did. Some were a different way of doing things, some were from more of a shop/customer stand points, some were more personally catered to my particular setup etc.

You can find absolutely everything covered in the lessons online
You can absolutely teach yourself everything covered through trial and error
There are several places to research everything covered

However, I would still recommend the books, and or the classroom session

I enjoyed the classroom course so much Im waiting for the advanced dodge class to become available.

For a little back story, I own a tuning company, and while I have been tuning as a profession a few years, I still was able to pick up a few tips and tricks that would have taken years to figure out if I ever did.

If you will read any essays on overpopulation in any country (you can do that here https://studyhippo.com/essay-examples/overpopulation/), you will see that for doing so, you need a massive all sorts of data just to start the research. But we had a two-month program that was definitely not covering such an amount of data management. So I have spent my time and money on useless school. I am currently interested in tuning, so your comment definitely helped me to decide on the best school.

I support you in your endeavors, you won't believe it, but I have a similar story to yours. I recently started tuning and before that I literature review writer for university students. Maybe the tuning school does not match my money, but I like it very much and will not spare any money for it.

thier transmission books was worth its weight.... get it!

yeah dont waste your time with college, too many graduates already and no work for them. blue collar jobs pay way more these days than any bachelor degree! sad but true, spend your money on tuning school instead!!!
