I was in the middle of a write and the program just closes on me. Now when I try to connect it says "Unable to detect the vehicles diagnostics protocol" and either program closes.

sounds like possible firmware update gone wrong?

what where you writing?
did you have internet connection?
i had similar issue with my mpvi2 due to a firmware update that started on me during a read.
