2009 Cobalt ECM question

Hey guys, so i nuked a Ecm in an 2009 cobalt 2.2L. I grabbed one from a wreckers and was getting ready to swap the vin when i ran into a odd code.
Hp tuners is pulling up a P0606 ECM / PCM Processor (Permanent). My auto auto enginuity scanner isnt brining up anything. Before i pay credits for a vin swap, Does the E37 Ecm put this code up when the ECM vin doesnt match the BCM vin?

Trying to avoid flashing a bad Ecm and loosing credits.

Some quick background. I blew up the old ECM when i accidentally powered a ground near the starter. I inherited the project from some one and with a wiring disaster.

For what its worth, I took a chance and changed the vin any ways. It appears on a read hp tuner's cycles the power fast enough that the ecm throws these codes. Hp tuners was not able to reset the code for what ever reason but my Ae scanner was. All is well!:pray:
