Hi all,
I'm about to buy HP tuners and AlfaOBD - don't suppose AlfaOBD can use the MPVI2 interface that comes with HP Tuners can it?
Guessing not but figured I'd ask before I have to drop another $75-100 on another interface.
thank you

No MPVI2 cannot be used with AlfaOBD (there is a thread were HP tuner reps confirm this). If you are going to get an OBD interface get an OBDlink version (uses STN not ELM). I run the MX+ only because when I bought it last year it was <$80. Both the MX/MX+ don't need cable adapters to access different buses as the pin switchin is done within the interface.

Although if you are going to use the interface in an attempt to sniff the CAN bus, you will still run into buffer issues.
I have the OBDlink LX, and very pleased with it.
Used it for when i had my "fiat" Jeep renegade, and now for using AlfaOBD on my Ram.
I always recommend the MX or MX+ as they don't require an external adapter cable to do any pin switching to access a difference bus. In fact, alfa will prompt you that if you are not using an MX interface that you will need to swap certain pins...or something like that.
Does any scanner app work with HP Tuner?
