I have a 09 ford flex that I think needs a cluster replaced. Some of the guages have a mind of there own from time to time. Can I disable PATS with HP tunes VCM so I can install a junkyard cluster?

damn, no replays is not a good sign. I have a used cluster. Is there an alternative to dropping the car off at the dealer for 2 weeks and wait for them to reprogram the used cluster to the car?
Find a good indy shop with a passthru programmer. Fjds costs around 50 for 72 hours of subscription. I?m not positive that disabling pats will do it for you. It may run but have the security message on. Be aware that you need two keys when programming pats system as well, if you only have one don?t go to hardware store all they do is clone your original which doesn?t work. If you only have one key go to stealer and get a 2nd one they?re around 40 ea (shop cost) then you can program it in when the cluster is programmed
