4K video recording support on v3.6.3

I was excited to see support for 4k video with TA and gave it a try on my phone which supports 4k UHD video recording. When enabled in TA, I made note of the warning and moved forward. Unfortunately, it appears that I have one of those Android 7.0 phones that records at 1080p with TA, even though everything is set to 4k UHD. One thing that I noted was that the phone used AVC for 1080p recording and used HEVC for 2160p which might account for the issue. Any thoughts on how to get this scenario supported in TA moving forward?
